After ready the many reviews we decided to book Julius as we had already had a meal on the harbour and in Quarteira and it was suggested that Julius was good value for money. We booked a table for eight which included a 4 year old and 14 month old. To be totally honest the harbour restaurants are better value for money and the service is 100% better, one assumes this is due to competition. It felt last night that the waiters were going through the motions, there didn’t feel to be a personnal touch as there was on the harbour. The drinks were more expensive (€5 for a large beer which isn’t that large)as the harbour restaurants do happy hour and the food was the same prices €29 for a fillet steak. The children menus is limited and considerably more expensive than the harbour. The food was well presented with a decent choice on the menu, the grilled squid which was on the special board was very tough, when this was mentioned to the waiter they just shrugged their shoulders. If you don’t want the crowds of the marina Julius is OK but be prepared to wait for your meal. We were sat down for 40 mins before our order was taken and had to ask for our drink order to be taken In my opinion after visiting restaurants this week the harbour isn’t any more expensive than the good restaurants on the back street or even in Quarteira, yes the prices have increased over the years but...

Myself and my partner came here for the last night of our trip. The atmosphere and location was great. We ordered bread, olives and oil as an entrée which were charged separately on the menu.

For our starter we ordered mussels to share and for our mains we ordered a fillet of seabass and a monkfish and sole dish.

The starter arrived at the exact same time as the mains. The food was very tasty but unfortunately by the time we finished our starter our mains had gotten cold. This seemed like poor management by the restaurant.

At the end of the meal we informed the staff of this inconvenience. We received an apology and were told the kitchen was busy but nothing more. We also were charged for butter that we didn’t order and this was also not removed from the bill after we mentioned it.

This had the potential to be a really nice meal as the food was clearly cooked well and tasted great, but for such high prices it is not too much to ask to be served the main course only when the starter...

Beautiful experience right in the marina, but on the backside street, without the crowds and craziness.

We’ve tried a few special starters that we haven’t seen anywhere else around, and duck and lamb for dinner.

The duck was really tender and juicy, we really love it, and the lamb was made in the oven with breadcrumbs and a special mind sauce, delicious.

The chef came to the table to say hello and the service was nice, we had a great experience.

Thank you...

First time here after waiting for a reservation and ohh it was worth the wait! The food was excellent, top notch quality really! Without doubt one of the best restaurants I've ever been! The service was very good. Definitely coming back here! 1 year later review: haven't you been here yet? Well you should. Still is the best restaurant food i ever ate! Highly recommended!
