Unacceptable Treatment By Staff

I'm disappointed to share that our enjoyable lunch experience at this restaurant was marred by appalling treatment when it came time to pay.

When our group was ready to settle the bill, one of our friends was informed that it was "cash only." I politely pointed out that I had witnessed another customer paying with their card earlier. What ensued was a shocking display of rudeness and unprofessionalism.

The staff member raised her voice, yelling at me loudly enough to distract other people eating. She claimed that the owner, allegedly in India, was unable to access credit card payments due to bank issues. When I reasonably replied that this wasn't our problem, she continued to yell, strong-arming us into paying via MBWay.

I felt abused and coerced into using a payment method I wasn't comfortable with, especially since:

They have a card machine on premises. I saw it behind the counter. They had accepted another customer's card payment earlier, which I witnessed firsthand.

Our pleasant lunch was soured by this unacceptable behavior. I hope the management takes steps to address this issue and ensures that customers are treated with respect and...

Fancied something a little different during my stay in Matosinhos so tried this place. I won't be back.

A vegetable biryani consisted of a huge mound of rice with a few mixed vegetables stirred through. No other sauce provided so it barely met the description of vegetable fried rice, certainly not a biryani. Spicing was strange but not offensive .. seemed to be mainly clove and cinnamon based.

What was offensive was the so-called naan bread. It was a mass produced pizza base fried on each side - dry and disgusting.

Service was friendly and prompt at first but as soon as the restaurant got a bit busy the one server disappeared into the kitchen. There are lots of really good restaurants in Matosinhos, this one does not deserve...

It's one of the few restaurants I like to go to because I know I'll always get great service and the food will be incredible. Sometimes I just opt to stop by and take it home and that doesn't reduce the experience at all. The people who work there are always very friendly and have great suggestions! I have taken my friends there and will continue to recommend it when someone ask me for a great restaurant with good value for money. Do yourself a favor and try korma, curry, tikka masala or coconut. If you're afraid you won't like it, I suggest you try the restaurant for lunch, during the week, where you can have the whole experience for a very nice price. I'm sure you...
