The best coffee we have had in Portugal. The owners are SO incredibly kind and accommodating. We got caught in the rain on our Camino journey and they welcomed us in and made us feel right at home. They gave us the most delicious cookies with our coffee and also provided us with hostel recommendations. We have been in Matoshinos for 2 days and have eaten here 3 times because it's so good. They have amazing lunches, drinks and snacks including Portuguese rice and other local dishes as well as wraps, salads and sandwiches. They also have insane desserts. They have every drink you can want including the most DELICIOUS sangria. But best of all is the service. It is no surprise to find so many 5 star reviews of this cozy café. Incredible service and equally amazing espresso. If you’re hiking the Camino de Santiago, you have to make a stop here, you will not regret it! Madalena went above and beyond our expectations.
