O Zé — Restaurant in Monchique

I have lived in monchique on and off for 17 years and I've been in this restaurant countless times over the years. I would have given it a 5 star review before it recently changed hands. I brought a group of friends there for dinner, all visiting from Scotland and we loved it so much we went back the day after. The lovely people who have taken over have brought a whole new energy to the place. They clearly love what they do. We were treated simultaneously like royalty and family. Loves our lunch here. Had the dish of the day, white fish fillets, tomato rice, salad plus as nibbles, bread, butter, goats cheese with honey, olives and carrots with cumin. All very good. They made me a very delicious vegan mushroom spaghetti in tomato with garlic sauce. Laura was our lovely helpful and smily waitress.
