This is a traditional, family run restaurant and cafe. Even though it serves traditional food, as a vegan I can get a fantastic meal here because the chef and owner, Fatima, understands my diet. It is the place in Monchique where I take family and friends because they can enjoy traditional Portuguese food and my wife and I can be well catered for.
If you opt for the prato do dia (dish of the day), you will usually be offered a fish dish or a meat dish. Now here is an amazing fact: for 8 euros per person you get: Bread, olives, soup, main dish, dessert, coffee and a drink. The drink is one beer or a half litre of wine (per person) or a soft drink. The food is outstanding, the service most friendly.
