We came here mostly for the vegan burger. Unfortunately we were not big fans. The staff were really kind and it’s a good location especially for some people watching. The vegan burger bun is not vegan (I think probably because it is a brioche bun and that wasn’t an issue for us)
The vegan burger has a lot of potential. There were 2 main criticisms we had. 1 was texture, they seem to make their own patties but with veggie burgers you have to be careful not to over process the mixture so that you have no texture left at all. The result from over processing is a mushy interior with no “bite”.
Was the taste. It didn’t have much. The patty itself needed more seasoning but also guacamole as the main sauce is just not enough to balance the bland patty. A chipotle aioli or something similar would have been great.
So much potential, hopefully they improve their veggie burger. A veggie option should and can be just as good as the meat offerings! The litmus test of any good veg option is that the staff order it themselves. I doubt that is...
Read moreTo be fair, I didn't actually get to try any of the food, it could've been amazing for all I know, the burgers certainly looked good in the photos. The reason for the 1 star is the opening times, on Google maps it showed it open until 22:30, and had the note underneath that the opening times had just been updated by the owner a week previously (it now shows 23:30).
I decided to come up here and eat rather than stay in the town because the burgers did look tasty, but when I arrived at 20:45 on a Friday evening (end of May) it was completely shut with nobody about. Admittedly stuff happens, there could've been a family emergency, the power could've gone down, there might not of been any customers and they closed early (altho there were still quite a few people wandering around). It is what it is, so I went all the way back down into the town and luckily found a great burger place still open. The thing that annoyed me was the fact the opening times had just been updated by the owner, but...
Read moreListen, I'm giving this place five stars in everything because it's a burger shack on a cliff, the staff were incredibly professional and it is a great place to sit down and eat, but my boo ordered a chicken burrito here, and I'm not saying our expectations were high or anything but guys, if you are reading this, there is no place on earth where a chicken burrito is fashioned from:
A crepe Dry, pre cooked cut up chicken breast Full pieces of romance lettuce, uncut Mayonnaise (to be fair I begged her to let me tell them no mayo) Jack cheese Chopped up pieces...of mango.
What is that? Not a burrito. To add insult to injury they serve a Mexican burger that has guacamole but they put mayo in the burrito. Stop it you guys. Find some tortillas, make some salsa or just stick to the burgers. The fries...
