São Miguel. Restaurante — Restaurant in Nazaré

Amazing views and dog friendly under the outside canopy. Fish soup was very good but the bife de vazia à portuguesa (sirloin steak in a Portuguese sauce) was OK but nothing special. No vegetables but that's quite typical in Portugal for this dish. I ordered a bottle of soalheiro alvarinho which is, in my opinion, the best of all the great vinhos de alvarinho. Unfortunately they didn't have any so I had a cheaper alvarinho which was very good. I was the last to leave and when I came out of the bathroom I saw that the waiters were leaving. So I went to the counter to pay the guy who appeared to be the boss. 89€ said he. I don't think so and on checking the bill it was clearly for the table of 3 who had just left. Eventually, after detailing what I'd eaten, he found my bill for 38€. This was 2€ too high because I'd been charged for soalheiro wine. I still left a good tip because the waiter had been very good and kind to my dog. The waiter was multi lingual but we only spoke in Portuguese even though I'm sure his English is better than o meu português. I hope he gets the tip or a share of it. PS, if you're ever near the small area between Monção and Melgaço where Alvarinho wine is made, try a trip round the Quinta de Soalheiro vineyard. Luís is a superb winemaker and also, amazingly, he and his wife are vets. It's the only wine tour I've been on where I received some advice on dealing with my dog's...

If i could put 0 this will the my score. they are stealing customers, They add foods that you didn t order to the bills. Never go there !!!!! The mozzarella on the picture is 7E …. the fish is not tasty

update: Just check the answer from the restaurant below. Instead to insult a client they should look for a new owner to buy the business. Then he will look for a better chef. The only good point of this restaurant it s the terrace, I am not that kind of guy who removes his sun glasses to discuss with waiters and business owner who are cheating on quality and on the bill. I was very clear with the business owner, she has 2 options, to remove what was not not ordered or she will remember my lunch.

For the clients who will be in similar situation, you have to ask for livro de reclamações. You can complain online as well.

This is by far the best restaurant in Nazare, for ocean views, for food, for pricing and for service. We were a party of 8 (5 adults and 3 kids) and were seated on the terrace overlooking the beach with great views of ocean. This restaurant is at the end of the street sitting high on top, so people may assume that its pricey, but it is not. We spent more in another restaurant down the street towards the center of beach road the previous day. Service was excellent, we had one of the owners taking care of our table. Food was delicious, Wine was great, piri-piri from Calve brand was awesome, and so was the tiramisu at the end. Everyone of us loved our dishes and desserts.

We were expecting the bill to be around EUR 170 or so, but it came out to be just EUR 120.
