Restaurante Si Hai — Restaurant in Ourém

My wife (born and raised in China) and I spent 4 days in Fatima in a larger trip to Portugal. The first night we wanted to eat Chinese food for a change and just picked this place somewhat randomly. We ended up eating supper here all 4 nights - why take a risk going somewhere else when there was a large menu of good food available here.

The food was high quality, the vegetables were all fresh. We had soups (hot & sour, wonton, 3 flavour) that were all good, as well as numerous dishes. Every dish was very good. I appreciated that the dishes did not have a lot of salt or oil in them as some other restaurants do. And they weren't crazy spicy like Sichuan.

The service was very pleasant and quick, and the decor of the place was nice. We typically ordered 1 soup and 1 dish each and that was enough for the 2 of us. The cost per person was 9-13 euros. Although this is a family run restaurant, it can accommodate large groups. The restaurant is in a basement, but it is spacious, well lit , and clean - with real tablecloths. The only inconvenience was this restaurant was cash only. And while it doesn't impact me, unless there is a different entrance, it is not accessible to wheelchair users.

We have eaten at a lot of Chinese restaurants around the world (including China). The food here was great, prices were good, and the service was excellent. I couldn't have been happier...

We were so happy to find this place as on 31st October nowhere else seemed to be open! There was a tour group in when we arrived so it was very busy and took a little time to be served. However, it was worth the wait. We had noodles with chicken, spicy chicken sizzler, happy family dish, and noodles with prawns. All were delicious, and very reasonably priced. It is obviously a family restaurant as there were 2 children there and the tv was showing cartoons. This suited us, as my 2 children...

A place that is authentic and truly heartwarming. My dad and I visited after 10 pm because we arrived in the city late, yet the owner welcomed us warmly. The owner and chef was incredibly kind and seemed like a genuine, family-oriented man. The food was amazing—authentic and extremely affordable, especially considering how much restaurants here typically charge for a dish. I wish this restaurant all the best. Um lugar autêntico e verdadeiramente acolhedor. Meu pai e eu visitamos depois das 22h porque chegamos tarde à cidade, mas o dono nos recebeu calorosamente. O proprietário e chef foi extremamente gentil e parecia uma pessoa genuína e muito voltada para a família. A comida estava incrível—autêntica e extremamente acessível, especialmente considerando o quanto os restaurantes aqui normalmente cobram por um prato. Desejo tudo de bom para este restaurante. Obrigado pela maravilhosa experiência e refeição. Altamente recomendado! Se você gosta de comida chinesa autêntica, este é o lugar!
