We arrived on a package tour organised by Kensington Travel.||Kensington's local rep. who had a poor ability with English, disappeared as soon as we had got off the coach, this most probably did not help with what was to come.||As soon as we approached the check in desk and stated who we were, the person who seemed to be in charge, demanded a list of travellers showing who had reserved single rooms. We were a group of 32 people. ||One of our party had a list of the group and the suggestion was made that if the double rooms were allocated first, those remaining would require single rooms.||This was not acceptable to the hotel. ||We began going through the list annotating who required single rooms and surprise surprise the hotel suddenly came up with the list themselves !||We were, in the most, senior citizens tired after a journey from the U.K.||I was shocked at the total lack of courtesy and inflexibility , close to aggressive rudeness, displayed by the person in reception which was totally unnecessary.||Our room was comfortable, although one member of our group lost all power and water on the day we were leaving and was unable to shower in his room.||The food was acceptable, we were on half board and the included wine very nice|| The staff in the restaurant were extremely pleasant and very helpful.||The...

From check-in to check-out everything in the Hotel Santo Amaro was more than perfect; from the staff, to the rooms to the food - everything was exceptional. ||Every single member of staff were at all times throughout our stay professional, caring, attentive and went above and beyond for us and made us feel we were extended family. ||This is my 2nd visit to this hotel, the last being 18 years ago, my mothers last visit was 8 years ago and as soon as we arrived and got out of the taxi we were treated like family. My mother has mobility issues and failing health since her last visit and everyone in the Hotel Santo Amaro went above and beyond to make sure she was looked after. I cannot thank them enough. ||The food was exceptional and varied each evening and served by courteous, well mannered and professional staff. A special thankyou you to Pedro and the lady with the blonde hair and glasses (I apologise I did not remember her name) for the attention to detail each morning and evening as we dined. ||I am grateful and thankful to Jacinta, Armando, Rosa (I apologise for leaving anyone out) and the whole of the Hotel Santo Amaro family and staff for a...

So glad we chose the Hotel Santo Amaro for our first ever trip to Fatima, in terms of convenience to the Basilica and the apparition chapel you won’t be disappointed it’s literally 5 minute walk. The hotel itself is lovely from check in to check out no problems at all. The staff at this hotel are lovely so pleasant and helpful which as someone who travels a bit is something I always hope for, it makes such a difference to your stay when you have people who are approachable and helpful. Breakfast was delicious the cappuccino was the best in Fatima I had a few 😊 we had dinner on one evening only because we wanted to try a few places while there, dinner was delicious I had salmon and my companion had an omelette especially made as he wasn’t feeling like a big meal, no problem whatsoever the young man serving us was so lovely. So when I return to Fatima in the future I won’t think twice about booking this hotel. Well done to all the staff for running such a great place considering how busy...

Amazing place ! We arrived late to the hotel, but the staff at the reception was very welcome and had our room ready. Even they knew our name in advance as we were the last to arrive. The room is spacious for 4 people , clean and beds are comfortable. The breakfast was very good, and we asked for an option outside the display and the staff was very happy to help. The hotel is a 5 minutes walk from the Lady Fatima church and locate me in the Main Street where you can buy a lot of souvenirs. There is a feee private car parking at the back of the hotel. The area is quiet and a nice place to visit, highly recommended hotel. Just remember, it is August but if you plan to visit the late night mass, better to bring a jacket… 😄

The food was amazing! It was definitely worth it. I recommend the dinner highly. It's 11 euro per person and free for children, it was awesome. The staff were amazing too. The only problems were that the carpets were a bit faded and frayed and the TV was too old. It's only a 5 minute walk from the church, which is one of the main attractions of this place. It says three star at the hotel though so it's definitely not a two star like Google says.

Hotel muy bueno para 3 estrellas. Las habitaciones sencillas pero muy bien. Nada tristemente cutre o abandonado.
