Gran Latino Taco Bar — Restaurant in Portimão

Wow, two brothers from Cuba making some of the best tasting street tacos we have had outside Mexico. Flavours are unique and not your typical American style tacos. Everything is scratch made including their amazing homemade hot sauce-medium spice level. We had a beef quesadilla and the Gran Latino Shrimp tacos. Both had great flavour. Tacos made with flour or blue corn tortillas. Tacos come 4 to an order but are on the smaller side thus would order 1 order per person. We are going back again to try their asst 8 taco plate which includes 2 each of 4 of their most popular tacos. They only have a few tables inside and some additional seating outside, weather permitting. call ahead and make reservations if wish to seat inside as tables...

This delicious taco bar is located in a small street near the main square. Growing up in a Latin household, I know how a good taco should taste, and this place nails it! The menu is well curated to cater to many different tastes. We (2 people) ordered the aguachile, gran latino tacos and the taco board. I would highly recommend the tasting board with 8 tacos! Make sure to order the house salsa as well. It adds a little spice and a whole lot of flavor. I even asked the chef if he sold the salsa bottled. I’m so glad we found this wonderful restaurant on our first day visiting Portimao! We sat outside in the sunshine and ordered cocktails, quesadillas and tacos and had the best time. Food was absolutely delicious, drinks were strong and tasty, and the service was superb. To top it all off, the bill was very reasonable considering how much we ordered, and we even were given free tequila shots by our wonderful server!
