A Padaria Portuguesa — Restaurant in Porto

I'm a regular there, but quality wise, namely in the kitchen, it's becoming definitely scarce! I couldn't eat the cheesecake today and never have I been served one so awful!!! Their "pão de Deus" isn't so heavenly anymore for the last few months now, unfortunately. Service today at the balcony was OK. The saloon could have been little bit more tidy. Everytime I came in there are new faces among employees and when there's one that is good at the job, next time you wont see them anymore. I wonder why... Seems as they all lost the will to put an effort into keeping the elevated standard that there was when they...

I love this place in the morning during business days. But there is another shift on the weekends👹 And in the morning there is a great service, smiles - everything that you need for a good day. 15:30, 14th of July - a woman on a counter tried to shove two slices of a wonderful cake to one little box, the box got dirty- doesn’t look like a present anymore😅 and advices me to clean it by myself with napkins...

Esta Padaria Portuguesa ao contrário de outras (em especial a da Foz) os funcionários foram extremamente simpáticos e atenciosos. Pessoalmente não tenho nada contra o facto de Lisboetas virem fazer negócio para o Porto, desde que sejam uma mais-valia! No Porto, há um grau de exigência maior com a confecção da comida do que em Lisboa. Aqui tem de ser saborosa e não forçosamente com um preço elevado. É do senso comum dizer-se que em Lisboa se come mal. Na Padaria Portuguesa da Foz, tem muita concorrência, quer de pão, pastéis e comida salgada, francamente melhor e mais barata. Nesta, o preço parece-me ter ajustado, e o serviço e simpatia é francamente melhor que o da Foz. Resta agora aprimorarem-se na confecção em relação à feroz concorrência . Aproveito para sugerir que "tragam" os pasteis de Belém para cá, algo que seria uma mais-valia...
