Holy Burrata Cheese Plate! Best one I’ve had..
Overview Best tapas in Porto! Brilliant Portuguese fusion. Best Burrata Cheese Excellent Wine Selection(region/glass/bottle) Not overpriced Indoor/outdoor seating Knowledgeable and friendly staff Efficient kitchen Ambience nice inside and out. Not too overcrowded. Perfect for dates.
Full review: Incredible small plates and wine. The concept here is very unique and no corners cut in fusing Portuguese small plates with the more traditional tapas style from Spain. I’ve searched high and low in Porto for this and finally found it... Plenty of wine choices offered both by the glass and bottle. All very good. I recommend the Douro region to anyone unfamiliar with Portugal and its unmistakable but lesser known quality of wines. The cheese and sausage boards are out of this world good. Best I’ve ever had in Portugal. To make matters even better they also have some larger plates, sandwiches, salads and a few breakfast all day type plates. Fresh breads and dessert. Beers etc. I’ve been twice already and loved every single dish. Have not tried all yet but I plan to before leaving. This place is doing something special and it’s not overpriced. The staff both in the front and back, are also very knowledgeable fast and friendly. The owner or chef came out to talk with us. Always a good sign in my opinion. They have English menus for those of us still working on learning Portuguese but our waitress spoke English very well also. Well...
Read morePor Acaso, or "by the way" in Portuguese, is quite the coincidental find in Porto. It's almost like fate, but, you know, by the way! :D But seriously, this place is no random discovery. If, by the way, you happen to wander into its vicinity and decide, oh, by the way, to order something (which, by the way, you totally should because the prices are just right considering the top-notch food and service), you'll end up falling head over heels for this spot. And, wouldn't you know it, you'll start showing up here more and more, not just by the way, but because you can't resist.
By the way, they serve Portuguese cuisine with a dash of Brazilian influence. So, if you're looking for a delightful dining experience, make sure to stop by Por Acaso. You won't be...
