The best thing from Amélia was the service. The staff is very friendly and captivating.

The venue is really nice, cozy and calm. We enjoyed it.

The food is okayish. So, the menu is the same as Nicolau and the menu has been on for ages. God, someone change that menu!

Burgers are not their forte. The burger came with so few ingredients and the burger patty didn't taste that fresh. I wouldn't order again the burgers. Have tried few times and it was always disappointing.

Toasts are slightly better. Shakshuka is good. However, I have the feeling quality has been downgrading as the years pass by.

Pancakes are nice. Drinks are good too.

I just hope they would have a different menu, but at the same time I know how traditional and close minded locals are and tend to go mostly to the traditional and repetitive side.

My family just moved to Porto Portugal from Los Angeles California about 2 months ago. A friend we met 3 weeks ago suggested Amelia's Foz. We decided to give it a try as it is in the neighborhood we live in now. My wife ordered the shrimp tacos my daughter and I ordered the acai bowl and my son ordered the bagel bacon and eggs sandwich. We all loved what we ordered. The acai bowl has really is so good with all the fresh fruit they use. My wife and my daughter are obsessed with the shrimp tacos. I had the Ovos Amelia hoping that would be one of their specialty, the service is good, the waitress was really kind and friendly but the food was below average for its price. Interior clean with proper acoustics so it’s good place to hang out with wifi. Next, the food. Beet hummus was just a tiny smudge on the plate with no flavour at all, sliced avocado maybe only 1/8 of the whole? And somehow I ate something really stale that stuck on my palette, it felt like the oats were very old and not properly toasted. Poached eggs not really smooth too.
