Bis Pasta & Risotto — Restaurant in Porto

Went for Italian tonight. We arrived early, just after opening so it was empty although a few people arrived while we were there. clean and cool interior to the place. lots of space inside from the small front door. definite, precise styling with the (mini?) cutlery on the tables.

I think after this meal everywhere else I've been needs to be downgraded by a star, this 5 stars was much better than anything else. Very delicious food.

To start i had cream of vegetable soup, the others had bread with butter and cheese. The soup was great! Very oniony which i loved, perfectly seasoned. Wide variety of bread came in a warm bag for the others. For mains I had chicken with bacon risotto, cherry tomatoes and spinach (see picture). Others had Prawn risotto and prawn linguini. portions seemed big but everyone finished so they were just enough. again perfect seasoning. everyone loved it. white wine we chose to accompany was €20.

for dessert we all shared a tiramisu and an ice cream scoop. the waiter assembled the tiramisu at the table (pictured) and it was so light and fresh and delicious. the vanilla ice cream was yellow in colour, wonderfully smooth and creamy with a perfect vanilla taste. the two worked well together for us anyway.

My wife and I have walked past this restaurant several times. We thought it was primarily a wine bar until we look closely at the menu. We just dropped in and were seated directly and were treated in a very friendly and respectful manner. The restaurant is deceptive and that there is a large dining area towards the back. The menu had a large number of pasta dishes and risotto dishes as you would expect from the name. I had the lasagna and my wife had the linguine with prawns. Both dishes were excellent. Well prepared and well presented. The linguine was al dente and had a very delicate flavorful sauce. The serving of lasagna was plentiful and quite tasty. That would have been more than enough but we decided to share the tiramisu. The presentation was just wonderful. The server brought the basic dessert to the table and then proceeded to prepare it with almonds cocoa powder and powdered sugar. It was wonderful. The restaurant has a lovely interior.
