We decided to support this café because we read that it was opened by a Ukrainian lady. We ordered tea, coffee, a Solo breakfast, and toast with salmon and avocado.
The tea was described on the menu as English Breakfast Tea and cost €3. I expected a premium-quality tea, not a cheap tea bag. Unfortunately, it was just an Ahmad tea bag, and they only poured half a cup of hot water. I don’t understand why it wasn’t a full cup and paying €3 for a single Ahmad tea bag, when a whole box costs €2 in a grocery store, felt outrageous.
The toast was so thin that by the end it was completely soaked with avocado you couldn’t even call it toast anymore. The Solo breakfast was fine, nothing special, but the egg was cold.
We paid €36 in total. Maybe this place is better for cakes and pastries, but we didn’t want to pay €8 for a slice of cake. The coffee was watery.
On another day, we visited Garden Café and paid €25, but the breakfast there was amazing!
I was going to add a star for the thoughtful addition of toiletries for women, but then I saw a bug on the sink so I decided to leave only two stars.

The food is simply outstanding. Their brunch menu is full of delicious options, but the Kotleta and Meatballs are a must-try—flavorful, perfectly cooked, and so satisfying! And, of course, the cakes are the highlight. The Napoleon, Medovik, and Kyiv cake are all incredible, rich in flavor, and beautifully presented. Each bite tastes homemade with love.

Read moreOne of the most charming and cozy spots for a delicious lunch in Porto. As residents, we are always on the lookout for new places to try. Yanetta's did not disappoint. We love their toasts. The tuna toast was delicious and generous in portion. My husband enjoyed his grilled eggplant toast with extremely fresh and tasty tzatziki. Service by the young server was friendly, and Yana herself comes to check on you and to offer dessert advice. And trust me, thus is not a place to skip sobremesa.
Cakes and sweets are all made and baked in house, and all are worth the indulgence. The Kyiv cake is outstanding, as was the Black Forest style cake on another visit. The dessert case will tempt you most assuredly.
We definitely look forward to...
