Café Passaporte — Restaurant in Porto

This cozy neighborhood café makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. It reminds me of Montréal, where we’re lucky to have amazing third wave coffee shops. My go-to is the cortado, but I also loved their matcha creations and their fun blends like coffee with orange juice — surprisingly delicious!

The staff is incredibly welcoming and always ready to chat in English, Portuguese, or Spanish. Nathália is absolutely lovely, and Naara makes beautiful latte art that adds a special touch to every cup.

I ended up going almost every day during my stay. It’s the kind of place where you just want to hang out. A perfect spot for expats, creatives, or anyone who loves good vibes and great coffee. They also host fun events and even bake their own bagels fresh on...

🇺🇸I came because the bagel I had at a recent beach clean up was good enough to get again and bring some home for the wife. I’m not a lox fan… but the other choices were not my cup of tea so I went for it. And it was very good. But the jury is still out. Stay tuned for an update as the wife, a self proclaimed bread and bagel savant must weigh in. From cali to Ny and up to Montreal and her native Cleveland, she knows a bit about the quintessential bagel. So stay tuned as my amateur research is not sufficient. 😂

🇵🇹Vim porque o pãozinho que comi numa limpeza recente da praia estava suficientemente bom para voltar a comprar e trazer um pouco para casa para a minha mulher. Não sou fã de salmão... mas as outras opções não eram do meu agrado, por isso optei por ele. E era muito bom. Mas o júri ainda não decidiu. Fique atento a uma atualização, uma vez que a sua mulher, uma autoproclamada especialista em pão e bagels, tem de se pronunciar. Da Califórnia a Nova Iorque e até Montreal e a sua terra natal, Cleveland, ela sabe um pouco sobre o bagel por excelência. Por isso, fiquem atentos, pois a minha pesquisa amadora não é suficiente. 😂

🇺🇸Part 2 of the review. So did this bagel stand up to my wife’s rigorous non scientific scrutiny?

Well… she is not a dancer. She rarely emotes happiness this way. However she was strutting snoop dog style while eating the bagel I got for her smeared with the chive cream cheese muttering “ the crunch is there… the soft chew…amazing, tons of everything spice all over the top, and that herb cream cheese packs a lot of fresh herbs….yep we have found bagel nirvana in Porto!

Bem... ela não é uma bailarina. Ela raramente demonstra felicidade desta forma. No entanto, ela estava a pavonear-se ao estilo snoop dog enquanto comia o bagel que lhe ofereci barrado com o queijo creme de cebolinho, murmurando "o estaladiço está lá... a mastigação suave... incrível, toneladas de tudo o que é especiarias por cima, e aquele creme de Queijo ervas embala muitas ervas frescas....yep encontrámos o nirvana do...

A gem of a cafe. Emily and her partner (Gabe?) were sweethearts. Their friendly smiles and conversation filled the cafe with an air of kind welcome. My mocha was one of the two best I've ever had. And the bagels were such a perfectly delicious surprise. Didn't expect to find that taste & texture in Bonfim/Campanha! Prices are higher than expected in Porto, but lower than the States, and the quality justified the price. As well as the spotless environment! I have included bathroom shots to show the attention to detail. Hand crème at the tap, and a Fresh Toilet gel stamp (constant cleaner) in the toilet bowl!
