At 19:30 hrs we arived on December 23rd 2024 to go to the concert at 21:00 hrs.
the collegue who welcomed us couldn’t find my name on the list of reservations. the music was very loud. We didn’t come for a jazz music night. We came to eat. The music was 4 times to loud. We couldn’t make converstion in a fashionable way. Also the conversation with the waiters was disturbed because of the loud music. we ordered cocktails to start with. And we ordered the ‘Menu Concerto’ of € 30 (x2). The cocktails took ages before they arrived. the first course of the menu arrived before the cocktails. (!) the food was nice, however the plate of the meat of the main course was not preheated. the order of the second two cocktails took again very long. I was about to cancel the order. But it was very hard to get the attention of the waiters. They had no eye for our table. the desert didn’t arrive in time. We had to leave for the concert. when I asked the waiter to subtract the price of the deserts he agreed. the bill should have been: 2x € 30 for the menu + € 30 for the cocktails = € 90 minus 2x deserts. Instead we paid the full € 90. I only realised later. Why were we overcharged?

Read moreCasa da Música Restaurant, located within one of Porto’s most iconic buildings, offers a spacious and tastefully designed dining experience. For the best value, remember to reserve through The Fork in advance to secure a 50% discount.
Though their Bife Wellington receives notable praise, I chose to explore their sushi offerings—and was delighted with my choice. The sushi selection, particularly the 50-piece platter, featured exceptionally fresh salmon and a well-balanced array of flavors, maintaining consistently high quality across all varieties. The temaki was good but adding some Philadelphia would take it a level higher.
While the restaurant excels in food quality, be mindful that wait times can be lengthy unless you arrive early. Additionally, the only improvement I would suggest is utilizing their 7th-floor position to incorporate windows showcasing Porto’s beautiful cityscape.

Read moreI’ve visited this restaurant a few times. My first impression was positive, but the experience has declined with each visit. The only dish I’d recommend is the Beef Wellington, especially if you book with a discount through The Fork. The service can be hit or miss—when it’s busy before a concert, it’s hard to get the staff’s attention. It’s a convenient option if you’re attending a concert in the building but otherwise, I’d only suggest it if you’re looking for something new in the area and can get a discount. One tip: the elevators to the top floor don’t start working until 7pm, so if they seem out of order, try...
