Meat rotten twice 🤢 I just had a bad experience. We were 4 adults and 1 baby, we ordered starter croquettes, 3 whole veal loin francesinhas, a chicken dish and a children's dish of breaded chicken. Orders took about 40 minutes to arrive. The chicken dishes looked ok and tasted ok too. The francesinhas were beautiful in appearance and the sauce was tasty, but when eating we identified a bad taste and the smell of rottenness in the steak. We let the waiters know and returned the dish to the kitchen, they brought new francesinhas and unfortunately again the rotten smell, I told the waiter again but I couldn't wait for any more dish. I ate the francesinha and we didn't eat the meat. When it was time to pay we were charged the full amount of the bill (60 €) I asked to speak to the management (who wasn't on site, in the middle of Friday at lunchtime...) and I left the establishment afraid of feeling sick and very dissatisfied with the entire lunch and the establishment's lack of attitude to resolve or alleviate the issue. If the meat is not in conditions to be offered to the public, they should offer suitable alternatives and not play around with...

Seca e ressequida.

Look at the picture and see the Steak that is completely overcooked! Like a biting into a shoe.

You can also see in the picture that the sauce didn't completely full the plate. Sauce is the key ingredient in fracesinha!!! And guess what? They make you pay 60 cents if you want more sauce.

So they don't give you enough at the start and make you pay more. Disgusting type of business. First place I go to where you need to pay for the extra sauce.

The sauce is super sweet, more than you find anywhere else, but that might be the type you like.

Overall, skip this place. It is not the genuine regular fracesinha. You will get a terribly cooked steak inside, and clearly, they will look for a quick cash grab with things like the sauce...

The place looks nice from the outside and very standard inside. We ordered beef francesinha, salad, cheese sticks and some other bites. With all due honesty, it wasn’t great. Francesinha seemed to have egg shell in it as well, none of us really liked the food, it wasn’t bad, but not good either. What was even worse, the stuff, in particular one waiter, the woman that dealt with the bill was nice, she brought us English menu instead of Portuguese. We were told the second floor was fully booked, when it wasn’t. The waiter stood so close all the time and was coming over asking if he can take the plate when half of the food was there. In general, the attitude wasn’t nice. Maybe this ruined other things too. I do not see myself coming here again.

I’ve had a lot of francesinhas in Porto and this one is of my least favorite: the bread was straight out of the supermarket toast bread pack (not even the torradas thick one) and with the minimum care, not even slightly toasted or crispy, just soft and soggy .the sausages and hams -enchidos- weren’t of great quality and the chicken that I tried was completely dry. The cheese wasn’t even melted. Fries were good though and the sauce interesting (Taberna Belga style). The place is nothing special or cozy, just a typical restaurant with bright white lights. Very overrated in my opinion 🙏
