I tend to write positive feedback, because I don't like to demean restaurants. But with this it is already the second time that I have problems with the delivery service.
Paulista has a quirk: I find it makes the best bacon and cheddar fries in Porto. Also, its pizza is definitely not an Italian pizza, but it's flavorful. My friends and I like to try particular tastes and Paulista has some unusual ones. Which is nice.
That said, unfortunately it is already the second time that I have problems with the delivery service. I booked 3 times from this place, once with ubereats and 2 directly from the website. Both times I booked directly from the website, I had problems.
The first, I found a really rude delivery guy. When he arrived I asked him if he spoke English, not because I don't speak Portuguese, but it's because I'm quicker when I speak. I understand and speak a little Portuguese. The problem is that, having requested payment on delivery by card, the boy arrived with the broken poss. In addition to the broken poss, since he didn't speak English, he didn't even bother to talk to me and say what was going on. He assumed I didn't understand Portuguese, called the owner of Paulista to explain the situation, literally said "this doesn't speak Portuguese"(it's difficult to translate "esta" in English but 1. "This" to whom? 2. Who told you I don't speak Portuguese?), and then while I was trying to make him understand that it was not a problem because I had the cash, the boy gave me his back with an annoyed air because he was talking on the phone and getting mad. All in all, I didn't write a bad feedback despite the rudeness because I told myself that bad days and unexpected events can happen to anyone.
But today, I got a bad experience back. I booked again from the website, with the same data as the previous time because the website had already saved them. I received the confirmation email, reporting the delivery within an hour. After an hour and a half I called to ask if they were coming and they told me that the delivery guy came but found no one, that the address was wrong (while it is the same address entered 20 days ago and that it had been reached without problems ). I am told that they tried to contact me and write me at the indicated number, when I have not received neither messages nor calls. Simply because it was a lie. The number with which I called them to ask for information was the same number I entered. And who knows why the other time they called me without problems to tell me they were under. And the number was the same.
What to say. Never again. Good to know that the negative experience wasn't just an accident. I live in a residence with hundreds of students and will make sure I advise against the place.
Quality does not stand up to incorrectness and rudeness. There is a Latin say we use in Italian, which is "Sbagliare è umano, perseverare...

Read moreI came here with high expectations. The result was really disappointing 😔. First of all, they had run out of red wine. How did that happen? Second, we had to ask for my drink at least three times. Third, there were no napkins. Fourth, I had to stand up and ask for cutlery and paper napkins. Fifth, the esfirras were slightly dry (except for the cheese ones) and full of flour. Sixth, there were no desserts 😵. How's that even possible?
On the other hand, I tasted my wife's supreme dog and it was delicious. Service was friendly but would benefit from systematic management.
There weren't much atmosphere. But that might have to do with the time and day of the week (Tuesday late night). Decor could also be improved.
All in all, I still don't know if I will come back.
P. S. I'm sorry Paulista foods 😔. I hope these constructive criticisms help....
