Viva Porto offers good food and friendly services. It's located on the ground floor, with a lovely view on the Douro, attached to the lobby of a hotel. It should not be mistaken with the sky bar of the hotel (where they only serve drinks and small canapés). The food is good. However, it's worth mentioning that if you go during the weekdays, the restaurant is very empty, which doesn't support the atmosphere. However, although they were aware of gluten-free requirements, two of the three dishes ordered arrived with issues. Breadsticks added to the mozzarella starter, and a biscuit crumb added to the Abade de Priscos pudding, meaning both dishes had to be returned. This could be very serious for diners less aware of ingredients. Overall, service is great, food confidence lacking.
