Was a little skeptical thinking the quality wouldn’t be as good since it’s a buffet but I was wrong!! Such a varied, delicious, and fresh selection of vegan dishes. Lots of dishes with fresh, quality veggies and many protein rich dishes too. About 1/3 of the dishes were Indian inspired so if you don’t like Indian food this may not be a safe bet but there was also yummy soup, salad, bread, savoury pastry, and more! Buffet is all you can eat and includes a homemade lemonade all for under 14 euro which is unbelievable! Took home the cheesecake which had a light, whipped texture and was very impressive. My only criticism is that a few dishes were over salted, some more signage or better explanation how the buffet works would be nice, and they didn’t clear plates as we finished and went up for more (I took a fresh plate for 2nd and 3rds so the used dishes just sat on the table). Don’t miss out on this place when visiting Porto— even your non-vegan friends...
Read moreDelicious food at a reasonable price. I was sceptical about a place that had such consistently excellent reviews, but I can confirm it’s just that good. The buffet had a variety of foods (soup, sushi, salads, appies, warm casseroles, etc.) and everything was either good or excellent. The buffet was nicely set out and the service was warm and attentive. I had the chocolate tart for dessert which was good, but nothing remarkable - I could have done without it. On the whole great value for a memorable meal.
Edit to add: I went back to get a takeout lunch. Their “small” box that you fill up from their buffet was extremely generously sized for 6.50€ and the food was once again so incredibly good that I wished I’d bought two boxes. My 4 year old son also loved everything and ate it all up (though he’s not a picky eater). What I appreciate most about the food is that it’s flavourful and wholesome without...
Read moreI think it is the first time I have seen full 5☆ rating, vegan or otherwise, so of course I had rather high expectations and some sceoticism. I must admit it was indeed at least 5☆ experience. Everything was delicous and full of flavour, even seemingly simple grated carrot salad. Everything looked simple but tasted easily like the best food me and my husband have ever tried. Everything was perfect, and to add to our surprise, even coffee was tastier than typical professionally made espresso. Plus, waiter kindly made it for us even though machine was already closed (we were very late eaters). We also tried chocolate cake (very rich taste!) and another cake with butter cookie base, banana and whipped cream (my preference), but to be honest we were too full from savory goods to appreciate desserts. I am hoping to visit Porto soon with the sole purpose to eat at this place again. Hope it reamins...
