Wow!!! My wife and I ate here two nights in a row. We have been on vacation in Madeira and Sao Miguel for two weeks. We have eaten a lot of great food at fancy restaurants, but this was by far our favorite, and it is located in a food court. Yesterday, I had the Lapas Grelhades (grilled limpets) 10€, Asinhas Picantes (hot wings) 5€, and added the Beef Tacos 5€ and my wife had the Tortilha de Alho com queijo (garlic tortilla with cheese) 5,5€ and the Chrispy Chicken Burger 7,5€. It was all amazing. We came back again tonight, and I had to get the Asinhas Picantes again and chose the Camarao Panado (Breaded Shrimp), and my wife had the Hamburguer D' Quina. Although most of the food is American/Mexican in style, they cook it with a portuguese flair that was outstanding and unlike anything we have tasted back in the states. Amazing, amazing, amazing, and the price; well, we would be paying more for 2 McDonalds meals back home. It's definitely worth the visit.

14/01/2023 -> Fomos jantar antes de ir assistir um espetáculo no Teatro Ribeiragrandense. O D'Quina foi o restaurante escolhido. Já tinha experimentado a hambúrguer D'Quina, pelo que desta vez quisemos ir aos petiscos. De uma forma geral, os petiscos estavam bons. No entanto as Asinhas Picantes não estavam picantes 🤔 e a Tortilha não tinha muito sabor. Também de referir que não tinham sumos locais Açorianos para venda 🤔. A mousse de chocolate estava boa 👍. No entanto o pior foi a situação climática na sala de refeições: estava ventoso e frio, sendo que se sentia tudo na sala 🤔. Em jeito de balanço, terei que diminuir uma ⭐ face à avaliação de ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (baseada apenas na Hambúrguer D'Quina) dado que alguns dos petiscos devem ser melhorados e também a questão da climatização da sala em tempos frios e ventosos 🤔 (o aquecimento só foi ligado um bocado tempo após, sem grande influência positiva). Nota: Solicitou-se fatura com NIF. No entanto fomos informados que a máquina não tinha papel e que iriam registar a fatura (sendo que depois ficava disponível no e-fatura). No entanto verifico que até aos dias de hoje não tenho a fatura no meu e-fatura pelo que não estão a cumprir com o prometido, pelo que agradeço a emissão da fatura do que paguei, ou seja, 31,60 € (ver foto em anexo), caso contrário terei que comunicar esta situação às finanças (update 20/04/2023 -> situação resolvida após contato 😄👍). 08/07/2022 -> Fomos a este restaurante localizado no antigo mercado da Ribeira Grande. Infelizmente já não haviam mesas disponíveis no local dedicado ao restaurante, mas existe a possibilidade de comer em outras mesas dentro do espaço o que facilita se queremos como algo rápido. Pedimos a hambúrguer D'Quina, e foram-nos levar a mesma a mesa que estávamos sentados. Posso dizer que a hambúrguer estava bastante saborosa, contundo as batatas fritas estavam já um bocado frias e pouco salgadas. Provavelmente se tivéssemos no local do restaurante teríamos pedido o sal. Em todo o caso gostei da hambúrguer 👍. Parece-me um bom restaurante dentro das várias opções gastronómicas ali naquele mercado 👍.

Terrible. I don’t understand why they exist, seriously. The most boring food for 2x price more than in the place literally nearby. Just go MacDonalds instead. Food is not just boring, but not ready. The buns are cold like from the fridge, regular processed cheddar, tasteless boring meat, they can’t even make their own fries or sauce. Everything bought from the supermarket nearby without any idea or attention to details. It’s a shame.

It was our first time visiting the island and, based on the reviews, we were excited to try something from this restaurant. However, none of the reviews mention anything about needing a reservation, so I thought I'd post. You absolutely need a reservation if you're wanting to eat here. They are not accommodating otherwise. My husband and I asked if we could order food to go and they said that wasn't possible either. They offered no time to come back, wouldn't allow us to eat outside at open tables, and have no other options except their apologies. They're not getting a 1 star review for their food (we haven't been able to try it yet), but they are getting a 1 star review for their lack of customer service. This place got me angry 3 times. We noticed this restaurant during our first walk around the town. They were open, the food looked good so we decided to give it a try on the next occasion. We visited the place 3times! during their kitchen hours, but the place was always closed. There were other angry, hungry and confused people around checking the place and the clock. They probably found the place online and wanted to check it out as well.
