I sat down at a table at 21.00, the place is half empty. A waitress comes over and asks what I want, so I ask for the menu (typically you should give the customer a menu before taking the order?), she rolls her eyes but brings me a menu. At 21.20 I'm still waiting for someone to come over to take my order. The owner is parading around a table with tourists, speaking in his broken English, trying to entertain them. In the meanwhile, two other tables are trying to get the waitress attention, either to pay or order stuff, without any luck. Read moreI posted a picture but don't let it deter you from going there just because no one is in the picture! We had been out to dinner, somewhere else, and it was not good. On the way back to our hotel we saw Pacheo and went in. It was a Monday night and they were getting ready to close but insisted we stay and order something! Phillip and his colleague were great! They were friendly and did not make us feel rushed at all. We had chicken wings that were fabulous and a local beer and a local gin. We will will definitely go back for the music Wednesday night.

Everything is priced really reasonably, there is a nice relaxed vibe, and the food was so delicious - we had the beans (lupin - a tasty salty snack with drinks), the garlic bread and maybe the best garlic shrimp I’ve ever had! Dessert (rock and rol - an icecream you dip in coffee) was so delicious, too. The cocktails were great and really well priced. The owner Filipe was a great host and made us feel really welcome.
