Madia PIZZERIA, unlike other "italian pizzaria" in Setúbal, this Is a worth ITALIAN Pizzeria. Reserved a seat via the fork, the place looks cozy and warm. The Fire oven warms the hall and the fragrance of pizza fills your nostril all over. Original italian products, with vast choice of cold cuts and cheeses: burrata, pecorino, parmigiano, prosciutto di Parma. For and expat like me , is always a welcome back home visit card (my favorite). Pizza (whatever you May choose) Will come fragrant, thin crust "a ruota di carretto" style as napoleitan tradition wants. Service Is Fair and friendly, full available to any of your request. Pastas (from carbonara to gnocchi alla sorrentina) Is well made, ( and pretty much an experience for NON ITALIANS). The only advice, if i may: never ask the chef to put cream on your carbonara...It Is quite an offence for whom brings you the real italian experience.
10 out of 10 , they'll see me...
Read moreI am in Portugal visiting from London and have visited a plethora of restaurants during my stay. This restaurant has to be the worst. We arrived and they took almost 10 minutes to find us a table (Tuesday evening, not very busy). We were left without being asked what we want to drink for almost 15 minutes. I must also mention that we were the only people of colour at the restaurant and the table behind us were white. They continued to display prejudicial bias when we tried to call the attention of the waiter he rudely dismissed us. This is absolutely horrific service, please avoid. I have never left a negative review at a restaurant before but my experience was so bad I thought it...
Read moreReally good pizza, and the “Focaccia Stracciatella E Pesto” was delicious! The place has a simple but nice and clean decor, and you can see right into the pizza prep area, which adds to the authentic vibe. The interior was also chilly even on a hot summer day, definitely something you can’t take for granted in Setúbal and very much appreciated.
It’s located between downtown and the marina, so it’s pretty easy to get to. The surrounding area has a bit of a nightlife feel with bars around, but nothing sketchy.
Service was friendly and welcoming. It was a bit slow at times, but not in a way that took away from the experience.
Overall, it felt like a genuine Italian pizza spot, and the prices were just about what you’d expect. Definitely worth a visit if you are...
