THE MOROCCAN TASTE — Restaurant in Setúbal

We were served a completely burnt meal which we asked to change for something else the waiter agreed to replace the meal and everything was fine . A little overpriced @ €15 for 3 small pieces of meat but it tasted good so no problem… Until the bill arrived where the waiter tried to charge for the burnt offerings for which we refused to pay . We asked for the Red Book to complain but we’re refused. The waiter actually called the police on us for refusing to pay for sub standard food . After waiting half an hour for the Police they arrived and thankfully we were fully vindicated and the owner was forced to give us the complaint book . Really great place. Our first time trying Morroccan food, but regardless of its origin, it was delicious.

The couscous with chicken was flavorful and very tender. The Tangine com Ameixa was incredibly tasty and fell apart under the fork. We also got to try some of their hot mint green tea, and it was a delight.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Our server was happy to describe all of the dishes as well as give recommendations.

It's been a while since I last ate Moroccan food and this little family run place exceeded all expectations!!

Hidden away on a back street, I cannot speak highly enough of the food! Absolutely delicious. Packed full of flavour and the meat was so tender it just pulled apart with virtually no effort.

The Moroccan tea is authentic and paired brilliantly with our food.

Will definitely become a regular as the experience was an extremely pleasant surprise!
