We are from Australia and visited many countries before, we have been to many fancy testing in Paris and Venice, nothing comparable to this cozy authentic protégées restaurant.
Its not a touristic restaurant, that’s what we love about it, we wanted to try real Authentic Portegese restaurant and we finally were successful with our selection.
The food here (grilled sea-bass, grilled duck) was unbelievably great and fresh. Portion size was amazing too, it came with rice and fries and a plate of steamed vegetables (we didn’t ask for).
I do recommend to try GREEN Wine here, you never experienced such a gorgeous wine before (considering we are coming from Australia, wine heaven)

Also for a week lunch meal, charging for a coffee 1.4€ and for a Carioca limão 1.9€ (as if hot water with lemon peel being a tea), seems ridiculous. I was a customer since the old place, but after this day I will never return. Sometimes the places forget that they need the all-year local customers…it’s a pity. It’s Soloia squids, “Madeira” skewer, veal with cream and mushrooms, grilled salmon and black pork “Lagartos”. Also grilled sea bass it’s something. And definitely “must try” it’s their “dish of the day”. Every lunch except Tuesday you have to come. Portions are huge and prices very reasonable. This is very authentic place with amazing atmosphere. All food seasoned...
