A very cozy tapas bar. 5-6 tables inside, same for outside. All the food we ordered(fish soap, cheese toast, shrimp salad, olives and tuna tapas) was extremely tasty and fresh. Locals were drinking and eating there while we were eating; so not a tourist trap for sure. Owner speaks English well enough. The prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended for tasting Portuguese food and drink.

We ordered the charcuterie for 4, two fish soup and everyone ordered their own drinks. The board had 4 different cheeses and 3 meats. They were all wonderful. The fish soup was fantastic! It has fish as well as shrimp and a creamy base. Yummm!!! I splurged and ordered a sangria. It had a spice touch to it maybe cinnamon and loaded with apples. I loved it!

While on tour, we found this place for a quick lunch. It was a beautiful day, so we sat outside. We had a plate of roasted chorizo, a mixed board of meats, different cheeses, walnuts, and a jam; bread, wine (Encosta do Sobral white wine) and beer. Everything was very good, although the roasted chorizo was more fatty than others.

We had olives, bread and cheese to begin with. Why can't all restaurant bread be that good? And the cheese was so fresh and tasty ... mmmmm! The fish soup was excellent, wonderfully seasoned and just honestly delicious. The house red wine was a rich warm delicious glass of yumminess. We chose to sit outside on the street mainly because of having our dog with us. Never easy to judge the atmosphere from there, but it seemed good. Faultless service, charming staff, and very good value.

If I were the owner and had just won the 2025 award for the best bar in town ( which they have!) I would be flying flags and displaying posters all over the facade of my bar! However, the owner simply let's the excellent food say it all for him.

Well done to everyone...

So we've had a shrimp plate, cheese and ham plate, chorizo, chips and soup

1 the cheese board must come first and is very basic, the cheese was dried out which I refused to eat and the ham was just basic

2 chorizo was nice but just a plate of chorizo sliced, add something with it, potatoes or sauce, massive plate does not look nice

French fries were nice

Soup was lovely

Shrimps are not worth the money, they was expensive and not prepped... Shell still on and full of black poo, prep your food, the customer should not have to play with the food to eat it.. owner said this how Portugal do food, although in nazare we had prawns that were prepped, so this is not the case

Service was ok but...

Based on the reviews I thought this restaurant would be good. I went on a Sunday and there was only 1 waiter that was extremely busy and could not handle the volume of customers. We ordered very simple items (tosta, french fries and bifana sandwich) and it took over 1 hour to arrive. The quality was not great for the price. The tostas had barely any filling. The poor ladies in the kitchen cook in a very small kitchen and were struggling to keep up with orders. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience and I won't be back. Advice to the owner is to hire more people to ensure the quality...
