Phantastic old fashion feeling, charming interiors with a high ceiling. Besides the lovely ambiente the toastas with cheese, tomatoes and oregano were so tasty plus the galão (as a mandatory part of my coffee shop experiences 😉) was muito delicioso as well. Not to forget the service, which was in my opinion very friendly, fast and attentive, too. Update on 16th of February '22: Had been traveling for 5 weeks and am happily back to Tomar. Went straight to my favourite Café Paraíso and everything is as good as it was before. Although the lighting received an upgrade. It's always tricky to find a suitable illumination for a 16 ft. high ceiling, but Café Paraíso did a good job by adding to the existing ceiling lights led bulbs. Main center of the city at night used to be in the square but since Hotel Republica opening and buying next bar to create "el tomatino"restaurant they seem to kill what used to be the main center. Their service is fantastic: a perfect balance of friendly, attentive and informative. Come here for the atmosphere and history and stay for the service and food.
