We had a reservation at 7.30. We came at 7.30. Guess when they brought us the main course? At 9.45😂☠️ appetizer at 7.45 and the main dish 2 hours later. 2 hours to serve cold meet that you just need to cut? A joke. Potatoes were burned and swimming in oil. And then we also saw people eating a nice beef fillet, we ask the manager why we got that cheap cold meat and she said that we ordered it😆And we didn’t. We ordered menu 4 days in advance and they told us we we’re getting a stake. It also was my second time there, and we did get a nice steak the first time! Without specifying it:) so the manager tried to lie to us:) We brought my husband’s dad to the restaurant to have special experience and listen to fado and well, I gotta tell you it was a special experience 🙄 3 hours to serve some mushrooms, some jamón and roast beef😆 And then we talked to the manager, her excuse was the fado night. The fado night? So you are unable to serve the 20 tables you have in the restaurant? Maybe you should reduce the capacity then. I don’t see the relation between the person singing and the person cooking. So, to sum up: jamón 7.45 pm, mushrooms 8 pm, 9.30 pm the Michelin start side dish of potatoes and some lettuce leaves, and then another 20 minutes for the main dish as cold roast beef. The worst part has been that when the kitchen was clearly failing, the manager didn’t come a single time to check on us, and the junior staff had to deal with the dissatisfied customers not knowing what to say. We were not the only ones. Instead of taking care of the guests the manager was making the videos for the social media, I guess that was more important. Life is good when you charge 100 euros for 2 pieces of roast beef, mushrooms, some jamón and lettuce😂 The endpoint, we know Viana well as we live here. Want to eat good food with great value for money, go to Maraberto and Bota d’Agua for seafood and Picado Capital for the meat. We also like a lot bar Asturias and tasquinha Bela Costeira. Want to waste time and money - come here. Want to listen to some fado - come here and just...
Read moreBelow average!!! We were at the Fado night and very much looking forward. However everything went wrong with the kitchen and the order what could go wrong. We had to wait for an hour before we received our first dish, the side dish patatas bravas. The waiter made excuses when he arrived with it, but still..no entrees like the pimentos padron but the side dish..after that we had to wait 30 min again for the salad to arrive and again 15 min before the pimentos padron and the hamburger, which was too over cooked and very bad! In the meantime there we’re some tables where everything went well. They seemed to be the regular guests. Even arrived after us! And some went very wrong. One table left even!
When we made the reservation we could chose between the menu of the night or a la carte. We chose the last. Which probably was the main reason things went wrong. Maybe they only should offer during the fado night a fixed set menu? I don’t know but we had bad food. The Fado...
Read moreWe (2 of us) are vegan and took a small table on the patio accompanied by our small dog. We ordered a few small plates and they were delicious. Our server helped us choose items that were vegan. We enjoyed everything so much that we decided to stay for dinner which would start serving in about an hour. They invited us to move inside into the beautiful dining room for dinner and explained that they were dog friendly. we ordered a beautiful summer salad and garlic mushrooms and an additional side plate of vegetables and we each had an additional drink. The service was outstanding. The food was terrific and the ambience was top rate. We are here for a few days and we plan to go back every day that we’re here, highly...
