Usually, bolas de Berlim are coated in sugar, but these are coated in sugar and cinnamon. You can also ask for them without custard. They are best eaten while still warm. We walked by this bakery and noticed a huge line so we decided to look it up and found out about the Bolas de Berlim. We decided we had to try them so we got in line. It was a bit of a long wait but it’s because they bring a fresh tray of them out and then immediately sell through the tray and have to wait for another fresh tray. The benefit to this is they are warm and delicious once you get them! We didn’t mind the wait and felt that the Bolas were well worth it! Hoje o meu marido, a minha filha de 5 anos e eu grávida de 37 semanas fomos à tão famosa pastelaria!! Entrei e perguntei a um dos funcionários se tinham atendimento prioritário, a resposta foi: sim temos mas apenas se vier sozinha!!!! Hummm um atendimento prioritário duvidoso e incomum a meu ver... Pensei em pedir o livro de reclamações, mas para evitar perder os nervos devido às minhas tensões altas, respirei fundo e fui para a fila como qualquer outra pessoa. Moral da história, estive de pé numa fila de 1 hora eu gravida de 37 semanas, a minha filha de 5 anos e o meu marido porque não havia onde me sentar a não ser dentro da pastelaria e teria de consumir alguma coisa para lá estar! Para consumir existe outra fila mas mais pequena, e não se pode pedir nada para levar, a não ser que seja algum cliente habitual claro, coisa que consegui apreciar durante a hora de espera. A minha vontade era ir embora, mas para além de ter o desejo de as provar tinha uma encomenda de uma caixa de 6 para um familiar. E depois disto tudo, as bolas de Berlim não são nada de especial, já comi creme muito melhor e massa muito melhor, a única diferença é que por fora para além de açúcar levam canela como as rabanadas de Natal!!!! Foram caras, 1,5€ Cada bola, são mais pequenas que uma bola de Berlim normal e não são nada de especial. A fama pagasse!!!Os funcionários não são nada simpáticos, são uns insensíveis, pouco cívicos, não têm pagamento por multibanco, o espaço é antigo mas não justifica as vitrines e paredes estarem sujas. Perdi tempo e dinheiro, sem falar no perder o atendimento...
