We had dinner here for the first time on a Saturday evening, without a reservation around 8pm. We had no trouble getting a table. Major thing to note is that they ONLY take cash! Hubby ordered the Tappas Francesinha with the spicy sauce and I had the lasagna. Each dish came out in its own clay bowl which was what was used to cook it in the oven. The crispy melted cheese on top was delicious and the meat sauce that was used was hardy. I did have a couple bites of francesinha and the steak was a little bit chewy but the rest was delicious. Many of the francesinhas in town use a very thick bread that is oftentimes chewy. The bread thickness here was perfect and the spicy sauce did have a kick to it but it wasn't overly spicy. They recommend putting a little of the spicy sauce on top and then mix it with the non-spicy sauce. He mixed both sauces and it was tasty. 2 entrees, 1 40cl Super Bock and 2 glasses of house white wine was 38€. We will be back. ...

Then out came the Francesinha straight from the open fire oven. Try it with their spicy sauce. So good! Then, as it was their end of dinner surprise, the staff came and joined us in shots of their 'fire water'. So fun! Great place to start your adventure...
Read moreWhen we arrived we were placed on a table where people had just left there starters on the table and the waiter tried to persuade us have them! When our order eventually came, it was wrong and we had to wait such a long time to get the right food. Again, the waiter was pushy, trying to get us to have what we hadn’t ordered. The fish in the cold fish starter was really too cold to eat. The only reason I have given this two stars is because the francesingha, when it eventually came, was better than the one that was supposedly ‘best in Porto’. This is probably because they finish cooking it in...
