Worst service ever. Waited in line whilst several Qatari people just skipped the long line and went straight to the front. 20 mins later it was my turn to order the cashier said he would take our order and it was our responsibility to find a table. After we paid no table was available so we asked for a takeaway instead of the flask the price was the same. Kitchen staff said why did you order a flask if there’s no tables which we said the cashier failed to tell us so it’s not our fault! The kitchen staff suggested we cancel the one chapati. Told this to the cashier and he said he would find us a table then he couldn’t. So I finally said can we have a refund. The cashier started to get nervous not explaining anything to me. And continued to serve at least another 3 customers at which point I intervened and said I’d had enough! I literally didn’t understand what they wanted from me. No karak, no tables and now no refund like I don’t understand what he expected us to do! Wasted a hour or so of my life and left so infuriated. If your going to work in the service industry don’t choose to give better service to Nationals then give zero service to Expats! Awful awful place. Avoid better off...
Read moreI was on a business trip with just one night layover in Doha, and a good friend of mine (who’s been living there professionally for a while) insisted on taking me out for a late-night supper. Honestly, I was still full from dinner — but he swore this place was unmissable, so I gave in. And thank goodness I did!
We went to Chapati & Karak Cafe, and I was immediately impressed — they even have a drive-through service, which is not something you see often for a café-style setup. We ordered their signature chai tea and something I can’t quite name, but it looked like a rolled chapati with a sweet twist. One bite, one sip — and wow. Absolutely delicious. The tea was rich, aromatic, and comforting, and the chapati-like treat had that perfect balance of texture and sweetness.
It's one of those places you’d regret skipping. Cozy, casual, and full of flavor. Next time I’m in Doha, I’m definitely bringing my family here — this gem deserves more than just a quick stop. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a true taste of...
Read moreThis is one of my favourite place to have a evening snack in Qatar. The cafe is located in Katara village right opposite the katara cinema hall, and is house for delicious chapati rolls. They have many options like chapati egg, keema, sweet , honey rolls etc. to name some. The restaurant is having an outdoor seating and a best hangout place in the winters. I tried their chapati egg roll and the quality of the roll is top notch. The ambience is good and suited for families and kids. The cafe is usually busy during the weekends and it is very tough to find a seat. A normal days , pretty easy to get a seat. The karak tea at this cafe is just good. The only problem with this cafe is the service. While they have enough staff to serve the customers, they often looked confused and lack welcoming the customers. This is one of the areas which they need to really improve. Otherwise, undoubtedly, best cafe to try for the residents...
