We came by week ago on the early afternoon, the restaraunt was almost empty. We asked to come in to sit down to eat and so were 'greated' by a very stupid and rude waitres who was wearing glasses. His first words, yiu need a reservation to sit, I said ok the restaraunt is empty so why? Well boss orders, well as stupid as it sounds I said ok can I call now and have a reservation for right now can you give me a phone number of the place so will make a reservation for right now?? We he said nop, go find it yourself!?!?! Seriously!?!? Well we continued to the next restaraunt and spent our 250 lei gladly and left a nice tip! I didn't give up, on our way back we passed by the restaraunt again, which was still almost empty (I understand why now), found their phone number and called in front of the place. The older waitress which answered the called, reassured me that there is no need to make any reservation if I would of come by now or would of walked by but I could of made a reservation if wanted for the evening to be sure I have a place, but it is not obligatory. Well I was furious, I entered the restaraunt while still on the phone with him and told him what happened and how was treated. The waitress with the glasses was lucky his boss wasn't there. The older waitress tried to make excuses for him as maybe I wanted to come only for a drink, as God forbid, some people want just to have a coffee and desert and not to age full meal. Well as I said before, we were never asked if wanted to drink or to eat, we were just refused entry with stupid excuses. When I came out of the restaraunt the idiot waitress with the glasses was looking and glimpising and laughing at me.... Oh my God, this made me so angry, I told him loudly in front of everybody, do you find it amuzing you idiot with your rude attitude and your lies? This idiot should be fired on the spot! People shouldn't be asked for reservation if the place is empty and I don't think it should matter if someone wants to have some drinks or a coffee or a desert or a full meal, this is a customers choice and not the restaraunt business. First off - friendly welcoming from the waiters team, but afterwards they just lost it: I ordered stuff for at least 2-3 times because they kept on forgetting (the place was full with at least 3 10+ groups though the waiters team seemed to be a reasonably large), and some of them even had some bad attitude when asking to replace the wine glass. By the end of the evening one of the waiters started to vacuum a table from where a group left!! Seriously there were still some tables left in the restaurant.
Food - tasty & beautifully paired on the plate, ingredients seemed fresh (fish, veg, et). But... nothing really impressed! Either the chef was not there or they lost their interest in providing the full experience for their guests. Someone from the group ordered pizza - this was jus bland. The dough not too crispy on the margin and a bit chewy in the middle.
Tried: garlic shrimp appetiser (tasty and good texture for the shrimps) and John Dory with clam sauce as main course (again good texture and balanced with the heavy gravy). Goes well with spinach side dish.
Desserts - these were good. Really good. I had a triple mousse that came with caramel salted with Maldon. Good choice and great combination. Also the other desserts were good.
Anyway, for me, this one disappointed instead of leaving me impressed, wanting to make it a habit of coming here once in a while.

Read moreI had lunch with my boyfriend, the quality of service provided by the waiters was not up to the level of the restaurant and the prices they charge; 1. I asked for a portion of parmesan for pasta, one of the waiters told me they didn't have it, another told me they had it (I wonder if he took it from under the counter? like in the old days if you had files at the grocery store... how is it possible in a 5-star restaurant, to have such a problem with the service?!) 2. He took my glass of prosecco when there was still the drink in it, without asking me if he could take it, and 3. the worst part, when paying the bill my boyfriend said to put a 10% tip, even though they didn't deserve it, and the waiter told him that at their POS, you can only pay with the amount on the receipt or with a 15% tip, because that's the only amount he can collect... are you kidding???!!!! In which restaurant in this world does the restaurant force you to pay the tip as much as the waiter wants?!!!
