As soon as I stepped into DaPino, I felt like I’d been transported to a cozy corner of Italy. The warm lighting, rustic wooden tables, and Italian decor made the whole place feel inviting and authentic.
The service at DaPino really added to the experience. The staff was friendly, checked in just enough without hovering, and seemed genuinely enthusiastic about the food. When I asked for a wine recommendation, they suggested a Romanian red that paired beautifully with the meal—a thoughtful touch.
By the end of the evening, I felt like I’d truly had an amazing experience, with a hint of local flavor. For the quality, I found the prices to be very reasonable—worth every leu for the experience and taste. If you’re in Cluj and craving authentic Italian food in a cozy, welcoming setting, DaPino is definitely the place to go.
After the delicious meal at DaPino, just when you think the experience is over, the atmosphere completely transforms. As evening turns into night, the restaurant seamlessly shifts from a cozy Italian eatery into a vibrant club. And believe me, these people know how to party!
This unique blend of a top-notch restaurant and a dynamic club gives DaPino a dual appeal that’s rare to find. It’s an all-in-one spot for a great meal, lively drinks, and a fun night out—a perfect choice for anyone looking to experience both sides of Cluj’s nightlife without...

You’d be much better off spending your money someplace else.
I had a very unpleasant time, together with my partner. We had ordered (and pre-paid for an antipasti serving), advertised as ‘on the table’ upon our arrival. We were greeted half-wittily, seated right next to a loudspeaker (maybe don’t place a table there as it’s quite unpleasant?) with NO antipasti served, until we explicitly asked for it.
So the ‘on the table’ thing, even if paid for, was not serviced. The staff seemed overwhelmed by the number of customers, which also indicates curious business practices. Either make sure the staff suffice, or take fewer customers/tables in.
I know, for one, that one table less (nely the one I was seated at, right next to the loudspeaker) could have easily been removed and nobody would have been unhappy about it - on the contrary.
The staff was not friendly at all, as they perhaps had no time/were not encouraged to do so given the amount of work they had to manage.
We left shortly after tasting our antipasti. The food in of itself was quite alright. However, we were left feeling so uncomfortable and unaccounted for that we decided to leave. The items on the menu looked quite appealing as well but we were, unfortunately, pushed away from trying...
Read moreI visited this place on the recommendation of their neighbors nearby who sell craft beer, since I was in this city on a business trip and learned about this wonderful place, I couldn't help but visit it. I ordered a mozzarella salad and a sea/ocean plate. The salad was excellent for 9/10 🥗 (maybe because there is nothing unusual and complicated in it), but the plate with sea creatures surprised me. 🫕🥣 The sauce that came in addition was just perfectly matched, and the squid and octopus were cooked just delicious. Until today, I either haven't been to good restaurants, or simply haven't eaten such well-cooked food. The mussels melted in your mouth along with the shrimp, and the sauce complemented all this miracle. In general, I put a solid 10/10 on this plate. Since the score below is not even considered. Initially, I thought that I would order and try oysters in this restaurant, but they told me that they ran out literally 2 days ago and maybe I won't have time to evaluate them. I was also brought dessert - a gift from the institution. I completely forgot to say that a wonderful evening in the restaurant was complemented by a lit candle and wonderful music. Thank you very much for a warm evening to this...
