Vărzărie — Restaurant in Cluj Metropolitan Area

The Food is nice, but customer service was the worst I've encountered! Had to wait around 20 minutes to have our orders taken, drinks were not cold and they forgot to bring us glasses (we did not remind them either, it would have taken another 20 min). They brought things we did not order (hot peppers, extra cream and bread) and just told us to let them on the table if we don't want them. The guy who cleaned our table told us he is making a sacrifice to help us! At one point it got so bad people /customers were helping the waiters by bringing their own food to the tables!

Another story with the bill. We asked the guy to bring the bill, he said his colleague is handling this but he will let her know, another 15 minutes passed and we were still waiting for that.

All in all, food is tasty, but it's not worth it. Give yourselves 3 hours for this or just...

The word is upset. We got there on Saturday by 3pm (15:00), they took over 20 minutes to sit us down, even thought there were free tables.

Once we sat, they also took a long time to take our order and even longer to serve the food.

Quantities were not enough, and the food was not bad but nothing special to talk about. They served us the food cold, and the waitress recommended the most expensive meals in the menu. The potatoes were bland and lacking salt, and the meat was tough.

The plates smelled like they had been clean with a really dirty cloth.

It is not expensive, we ordered an appetizer (50 leis) and 5 main courses, also 2 cokes and 3 beers, and it was 300 leis (60 euros).

Terrible experience. Ordered Sarmale with pork. One of the rolls had a piece of metal inside, luckily I spotted it before eating. Once reported to the staff, they barely had the kindness to say sorry. But what happened next is even worse. Honestly, I expected not to pay at all, given the magnitude of what happened. But since the staff hadn’t said anything on how they wanted to deal with our situation, and were basically ignoring us for minutes, we decided to ask for the bill and leave. Guess what? They even included the Sarmale with the metal piece in the bill. This was really too much to bear, so I dediced to argue about that with the waiter, which ultimately deleted that dish from the bill, but still requiring us to pay for the rest...
