Vino e Sapori — Restaurant in Zona Metropolitană Brașov

The food was excellent, and the wine was very good. Service was a bit slow. I'm accustomed to this in Romania, and I certainly appreciate that this establishment makes everything FRESH, but it was slower than other restaurants of similar caliber. It's also a small place, with only a few tables, so we were thankful to get in.

The Italian pancakes were AMAZING. Perfect appetizer for two people. Mushroom/truffle pasta was INCREDIBLE. Very fresh. My friend said her lasagna was delicious, and my husband's pasta carbonara was wonderful. Prices were decent, as the restaurant isn't in the heart of Centru off Stradă Republicii and Michael Weiss. It's not far from there, though (on the brink of the main thoroughfare). A bit noisy with the traffic going past the restaurant, and the music left something to be desired (too much of an eclectic mix -- everything from Bob Marley to Dean Martin... wouldve been happy if they'd stuck with the Deano).

If you have time to spare and want a wonderful meal (mostly Italian), this place is WORTH IT. Very very very good. Not the biggest portions I've seen, but with a shared dessert (homemade gelato made in house!), it was PERFECT. Would come back if I'm in the mood for Italian and have a bit of time to spare for...

Fantastic food. Shamed to say we didn't look at the menu that much as we went straight for the lunch deal( served 12-4 , when we were there) but don't regret at all. Vegetable Soup was awesome, followed by the sausages with cabbage. My partner was offered potatos as a substitute by the waitress and was very happy. The lunch menu was very good value. All the great reviews of this place are real. It's amazing to see a place so close to a tourist attraction and center offer such quality for a great price! I had a tiramisu after and was happy :) I have had plenty tiramisu, most being sub par by here it was very nice. Got two bottles of beer , partner got a radler , good for the those who don't like bee too much( great value also, think they were both 500ml bottles which was the same price as the next bar we went, so that's cool!) Delicious pasta. Since they didn't have an Alfredo Linguine de fruta de mare, I was able to order the Penne Quattro Formaggi and the Gambas a Bruschetti. I took the shrimp from the Bruschetti and added it to my pasta. So the menu has limits for an Italian restaurant but you can create your own combinations. A little difficult to order in English but if you know your Italian cuisine you can communicate your order easily. Food came at a good time, and it was very delicious!! My server was attentive, and followed up after the first few bites to make sure everything was still good. I think he misheard me though because at the end I asked for a local red wine but he brought me a local white wine, Pinot Grigio, and that actually turned out to be a better finish to the meal as it complemented the cheese beautifully.
