Rude staff, unripe avocado's, and bad services. Over charging, pay attention to your receipts.
Walking around the streets of Brasov I was craving for some Avocado salad, upon searching I found what seemed to be a nice place to eat, but the experience I had with the food and service was so bad.
After ordering Avocado Orange salad and La Pitit Bistro Salad for my partner, not only we had to wait 20-30 minutes for the salads, I also got an unripe, inedible half an avacoda that I would describe as stone hard.
After the first bite I've told the waitress that the avocado was inedible and I can hardly stick my fork in it, she took to the kitchen and returned back after changing it and she told me sorry that's the avocado we have.
This time, it was slightly better avocado, and I just ate my meal, and put my honest 2 start review on google while I was still there just because of how bad I felt at the moment.
The staff noticed my review, and I was rudely confronted by the staff of the restaurant for my google review and pressured to change it. I felt a bit unfair and I said I would change it later, we paid and left the restaurant.
After checking my card transaction, I noticed we paid 16 lei extra, without knowing for what.
Today(next morning), I called to ask if I was charged extra for tax or what, and the gentleman said I got charged for the 16 lei unripe avocado that I asked to replace.
For some, this may sound a small issue but I can't express enough how mood ruining it was, and I hate to be treated unfairly. All said and done, I hope the staff and owner take notice of the reviews and accept them whether bad or good and try to improve from them. That's the whole purpose of feedback. And for you dear travelers, I hope you'll have a better...
Read moreI discovered Le Petit Bistro while strolling through the center of Brașov, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice! It’s a small, cozy, and welcoming place located right on Mureșenilor Street, just a few minutes from Piața Sfatului. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, with charming French-inspired décor and soft background music that adds to the overall experience.
I visited both for breakfast and dinner, and I was impressed both times. In the morning, I had a classic breakfast with poached eggs, avocado, fresh bread, and coffee – everything was fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. The coffee was excellent, and the portion was just right to start the day.
In the evening, I came back for dinner and was equally pleased. I ordered the duck confit with creamy mashed potatoes and caramelized vegetables – absolutely delicious and well-balanced. For dessert, I chose the lemon tart, which was light, tangy, and full of flavor – the perfect way to end the meal.
The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional without being intrusive. Prices are slightly above average but fully justified by the quality of the food and service.
I highly recommend Le Petit Bistro to anyone looking for a quiet spot with delicious food, whether for a relaxed breakfast or a special dinner. I’ll definitely...
Read moreWe had a fantastic breakfast today at 11 AM at Le Petit Bistro Brașov! I ordered the avocado egg toast and mentioned my no-salt diet—amazingly, the kitchen prepared a special no-salt guacamole just for me. It was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. My husband had the eggs Benedict with salmon and a side salad, which he really enjoyed—everything was perfectly cooked and tasty. I also had one of the best decaf cappuccinos I’ve ever tasted—creamy, smooth, and full of flavor. The service was outstanding: our waiter was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect. We truly appreciated the care and quality in every detail. Highly recommend for a relaxing and delicious breakfast in Brașov!
Ps- they serve breakfast until 1 pm and then they...
