Sub Tâmpa — Restaurant in Zona Metropolitană Brașov

Unfortunately, this experience wasn't good. I live in Bucharest and each time I come to Brasov I book a table to Sub tampa which was recommended to me. First time was really great, everything : decoration, atmosphere and the really good food. But each time I come, since 2 years and a half now, it s a bit worse. And this Saturday we had a very bad experience with a low quality service. After checking the dishes for quite a long time ( I was the only person understanding romanian and had to translate and explain to everyone because no menu in English and the waiter didn't propose to help when we asked for ). No more QR code to be able to see pictures of the dishes. Drinks and starters weren't quick, even if without preparation ( cold ones). Then, we wanted to order and not only 1 or 2 of our choices weren't available but 5 out of 6 of our dishes ! So we tried at least 3 or 4 others that weren't also available. But the waiter didn't inform BEFORE , and even during the time we tried to find a dish ( burger was available but I really don't cope to sub tampa from Bucarest for a burger or pasta, even if good) he didn't help at all and propose what was available. He didnt look sorry at all.m and told us it was Saturday ( yes, and tjat s why you should anticipate, because restaurant is full!) But until then, we were still ok. But it took almost one hour to be served after ! Our plates from starters were still on the table when finally the main courses arrived , and 2 out of 6 were cold ! SO Disappointed to recommend this restaurant to my guests ! Not even a word from the waiter. I am.sad but I am not sure I will try the experience again. There are many good...

I recently visited the restaurant and I have to say that the food is, sadly, under average... but you are charged a price that should indicate a high quality dish. We asked for a medium cooked duck breast, it came well done. The staff took care of the problem and returned the dish to the kitchen, after 10 minute we had the medium done breast, also the piglet I ordered was dry with an average taste. The dessert ( offered on the house as an apology for the duck) was old and dry and had a big hard piece of wallnut cover. The only good dish was the warm goat cheese.

As I was disspointed and I wasn t sure if I should give a review, (considering that the staff was amazing at resolving all the kicthen issues), I searched more information about this restaurant and saw an interview where their manager explaines that their soups are delivered already prepared în a plastic bag, they only heat the soup în the bag, and serve it to you at an exorbitant price for such a dish.

There are some amazing restaurants in Brașov with this rating, and Sub Tampa is not even close.

The location îs amazing, the atmosphere is ok with a mixture of quality detailes but also cheap lighting signs, a lot of plastic flowers, a decoration made for the mass, it is as "instagramable" as it can gen.

For me, this restaurant does deserve a rating of 4.4 maximum, and this is because of the kitchen.

The service staff, is the best thing about this place, and I think that the rating îs that high because of them.

Very sorry about this place but as long as they don t change their kicthen philosophy I think that people will start to notice more and more and it will lose it...

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Sub Tampa, and we must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Nestled just at the base of Monte Tampa, this restaurant offers a perfect blend of delightful flavors, welcoming ambiance, and impeccable service.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, ensuring every detail was taken care of. The atmosphere is intimate and inviting, with just the right amount of charm to make you feel at home.

Now, let's talk about the food—simply outstanding! Every dish we tried was a masterpiece, bursting with fresh, high-quality ingredients and a perfect balance of flavors. The menu offers a fantastic variety, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you're a fan of classic dishes or looking for something a bit more adventurous, you won't be disappointed.

We particularly enjoyed the Beef Tounge and the Vegetable Dumplings, which were cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The price is also really good in comparison with the quality you can find here.

We especially want to thank Madalina, our waitress, for taking such good care of us, making our dinner very special.
