This hotel is more like an apartment converted to hotel so isn't as easy to find as most hotels, however you just need to go along the main road until you see the iron gates for the courtyard and use the intercom to unlock. When inside, you'll see a sign for the Sky Hotel, pointing to another entrance which you use the intercom again to unlock. Finally, when you go inside the building and up a level you'll get to the actual hotel entrance which again needs the reception to unlock.||||Once inside, the staff although do not necessarily speak English, are quite helpful and kind. The hotel consists of 5 rooms all located along a single hallway. At the end of the hallway is a shared/common area where you have access to a fridge and microwave so you can bring in food bought at nearby grocery stores if you wish.||||The rooms are decent and the bathrooms look recently renovated and clean. One thing that caught me off guard was that the bathrooms use some sort of sewage pump that automatically keeps pumping out water from the bath, toilet and sink while you use them and can be quite loud (mainly for anyone else in other rooms).||||The location is the best part as you are literally a 5min walk from the Savior on Spilled Blood, Winter Palace, and Nevsky Avenue (major street with lots of shops/restaurants and direct bus to/from the Moscow Train Station), yet with a very...

Были здесь с подругой как-то в выходные утром, впечатление не очень. Во-первых, еда. Заказали бургеры, казалось бы, чем можно бургер испортить, но вот удалось же. Вместо мяса - бекон, вот тот самый бекон, который с яичницей жарят. Ну ладно, бекон так бекон, так он еще и холодный был!!! То есть булка теплая, бекон холодный, и честно говоря, прям неприятный на вид, то ли размороженный, то ли несвежий, такое есть просто неприятно(( И кетчупа к тому же не было, короче, разочарование полное. И цена - 790 р!!! И самое обидное, после этого бургера и у меня, и у подруги заболел живот(

Во-вторых, отношение персонала. Когда я вежливо указала официанту на то, что бургер холодный и нельзя ли его подогреть, официант наотрез отказался уносить блюдо обратно. В конце уже когда расплатились, девушка-администратор спросила, понравилась ли еда и услышав, что нет, просто вытаращила на меня глаза, и стала убеждать, что бургер такой и должен быть, притом с таким видом, будто я ее оскорбила))) Я уже в Питере ничему не удивляюсь, но блин, ребята, бургер за 790 р таким быть НЕ ДОЛЖЕН! И еще момент, который не понравился: помещение небольшое, и наверное официантам просто негде больше находиться, но было утро, посетителей было очень мало, и все 4-5 официантов стояли посередине зала и просто смотрели в упор на посетителей, как-то очень неловко есть, когда на вас смотрят в упор, и прям не стесняясь, комментируют что-то между собой, хихикают, как бы недвусмысленно наблюдая за каждым вашим движением.

В-третьих, то, что понравилось: дизайн зала. Очень красивый, лепнина, камин, который правда разжигают видимо только вечером. И думаю да, вечером должно быть очень уютно и атмосферно.

Modern high-end drinks and nibbles combined with a very late license make Arka ideal for post-theatre hanging out. The bar is intimate and chilled, and while the food and drinks are on the upper end of the scale, the quality and inventiveness more than justify the price tag. There are a few classics on the menu, but the real pleasures are the modern twists and unique creations, often using traditional Russian ingredients and flavours.
