During our visit to Makkah, my family and I had planned to dine at the Raffles Hotel. We decided to sample different hotels each night to gauge both quality and pricing. When I inquired about the cost, the staff informed me it was 160 SAR per person. Considering we were a family of four – my wife, two children, and myself – I asked if we could pay only for myself and my wife.
Upon returning later, I found a same staff member at the counter. I attempted to pay and requested payment for only two people, as other hotels had accommodated. Initially, the staff member refused and called the manager. Despite my insistence, the manager declined. Undeterred, I requested to speak directly with the manager.
After a conversation with the manager, they finally agreed to accept payment for two people. However, to my surprise, the price had escalated to 590 SAR for just two individuals. This unexpected increase left me in a difficult situation, especially considering my children's presence and their inquiries about the escalating cost.
Even though the hotel is great and fabulous, I dream to have an opportunity to spend 10 days there all-inclusive, Inchallah, experiencing every luxury and amenity it...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed here during last year hajj and apologies for the late review as I’ve totally forgotten to give.
Honestly it was the best services and food I ever had in Mecca. Was always serviced by Mr Anshad as well as Mr Hamdan and honestly they are the definition of an excellent service. Forever helpful and friendly. Honestly is a 5 star service for me.
I need to apologise for this as I’ve forgotten the name of the chef but he was the chef that was always at the lamb and arab rice section and serving me. The food here tasted amazing as well and the chef was extremely friendly as well. Everyone whom attended for the lunch buffet needs to try their pasta as their carbonara as well as the neopolitan spaghetti are the best dish I ever had, especially when the specific chef cooked for me. I hope someone could let me know what’s the name of the chef as I honestly forgotten.
I apologised for giving such a late review as I promised them to give a review back then but totally forgotten.
Nevertheless, the whole experience I had here was a perfect 10/10 and I would definitely be dining here when I’m back in...
Read moreNice place with a semi good view of the Haram mosque. Service is good, expensive buffet ($78) per adult and kids eat for free. The buffet variety is not much, only one live station for pasta. Salads was not bad, nice selection of breads and dessert has a middle eastern part and western one. In general service was nice, my only take is the quality of the food, flavors and taste wasn’t as much as you expect with such a price tag and yeah with this price you’d expect their juice glasses to be actually bigger than the usual one they use...
