I recently visited Ciao Italia restaurant in Dakar and I must say that my experience was delightful. The restaurant is situated in a prime location, and the ambiance is welcoming and cozy. The decor is stylish and modern, which adds to the overall dining experience.

Nice Atmosphere, we arrived right when they opened for the evening. Service started alittle slow, but got better as the evening went on. Food was Great, I played it safe with the lasagna, petite salad with a lovely oil/lemon dressing, & au gratin- My husband ordered the Gambas, the appetizer of battered fried shrimp he said was Incredible! The only thing we noticed was the inconsistency of masks being worn upon entering when the sign on the door stated they were needed- security did take your temp at the door/gave sanitizer. La personne au comptoir est souvent désagréable. Mon collègue lui a demandé s'il pouvait remplacer le dessert dans le menu par du fondant au chocolat, au lieu de lui répondre juste "non ce n'est pas possible mais vous pourrez avoir de la salade de fruits à la place". Elle était là devant tout le monde à lui dire "Vous avez vu le prix du fondant du fondant sur la carte, le fondant fait presque le prix de la formule". Et lorsque qu'il a demandé si on pouvait avoir du pain au lieu de lui répondre "Oui bien sûr" elle lui a lancé un " ça arrive !" comme si nous nous impatientions et demandions avec insistance. Non seulement le service est lent on a rien dit mais ça veut nous manger lors du règlement de l'addition parce qu'on s'est levés pour payer au comptoir . On allait quand même pas attendre encore plus longtemps alors qu'on a même failli emporter nos desserts. J'en suis sortie toute honteuse parce que justement c'est moi qui leur ai proposé d'y aller.
