Le Coste dakar — Restaurant in Dakar

While waiting for our food a giant cockroach attempted to crawl into my wife's purse. We brushed it off and decided that we would stay and try the food. The roach could have come in from the street or something. Frozen vegetables, wilting lettuce, glasses of champagne served over ice because they weren't chilled, and we couldn't finish any of our appetizers or main courses because they were really bland and sub par. We also saw another roach in the dining area as we were leaving. The service was excellent, but considering the cost of the meal (79000 CFA for dinner for two and 2 drinks a person) I can't justify more than one star for...

Food was delicious and service was good. Be prepared to speak French as even though they offer an English menu, the weight staff doesn’t know much English. But the biggest issue is that we were there on a Friday evening and around midnight the place turned into a club. They blasted the music on 100 while there were still a number of diners eating. The loud music made it impossible to hear my dining guest and it impacted us for the rest of the night. Very unprofessional in my opinion. Also the AC was not working and it got very warm inside...
