The best food I’ve had in Dakar. Very good quality even for European standards. It’s clean, tasty, service very attentive and sweet. We went for menu du jour and it was also very well priced, around 10500cfa for a starter plus a main meal. They also give bread and a little aperitivo of olives and peanuts at the beginning, I really appreciated that! We didn’t try the desserts because we got very full, the portions were quite good. Also inside the place is very beautiful and comfortable, so if you want to take a break from the busy and hectic Dakar streets, I really recommend having a lunch here! Consider that the evening menu is much more pricey, although the food might be even more fancy...

I came here for my birthday dinner. The restaurant had an intimate ambiance so its perfect for couples.The service exceeded my expectations and was fine dining at its best. To start, we ordered the California roll and caesar salad. For the entrees, we had risotto, grilled salmon, and steak. All of the food came out at the right temps and was made with quality ingredients. Lastly, I was treated with a birthday dessert which was chocolate molten cake and ice cream.

Coming from a Michelin restaurant city of Chicago to Dakar, La Fourchette has achieved this remarkable dining standard.
