Le Rond Point — Restaurant in Dakar

This restaurant/bar/cafe is in prime location and I find it's a bit expensive for what they offer. For example 8,000cfa for local dish poulet yassa. It's on 3 floors, the staff are pleasant and accommodating but slow to come to give menu and take orders. The decor is okay, the seats look good but not so comfortable. This time I order ice coffee/frappuccino, it came warm and ice in extra glass which is considerate, but the taste was a bit disappointing. They would do well to upgrade the knowledge on how it can be better. I had le Rond Point pizza, a bit disappointed by lack of things on it for the price. The pizza base isn't bad. The atmosphere is so so, but I was bitten (and my baby also) many times as there were lots of mosquitoes despite the AC which was nice and cool. The toilet was dirty for such a restaurant, what a pity. It has a lot of potential to be much better...

One of my favorite breakfast spots in Dakar. They do have lunch and dinner, I just seem to going only in mornings, for no good reason.

Staff are friendly and efficient. Omelettes are delicious. I like people watching from the inside (hello air conditioning!).

Place de l’indépendance is right in front of this corner cafe.

They have fresh squeezed orange juice and different “combos” you can get for breakfast (look for the “formules” menu). Coffee is delicious.

Un manque de professionnalisme total! imaginez une réservation faite depuis le mecredri pour un déjeuner le vendredi de la même semaine. La réservation a soit disant été notée par une collègue qui n’était opérationnelle qu’en soirée. Jusqu’à la c’est gerable, alors on leur demande de vérifier le dernier registre ayant recueilli les reversations vu qu’ils soutenaient que c’était un nouveau carnet donc pas de trace des réservations de plus de 48h. Nous sommes restés là-bas pres de 15 mn à patienter debout sans aucune autre explication si ce ne n’est y’a plus de tables pour 2. Aucune excuse ou tentative de réparation. RIEN.
