It's a very nice place. I like the ambience and the staff is incredibly friendly. But the reason I am giving two stars is the avocado toast. I think the avocado toast came with the most processed bread possible. The avocado and eggs were very nicely done, but the quality of bread is the cheapest and the most processed white bread you can possibly find in Dakar. The devil is in details. Really. I'm writing this post hoping that the management of this lovely place make little changes. Otherwise it's a fantastic place. Coffee is amazing.
P.S. thanks for the reply. I paid 15,700 CFA for a cup of coffee and avocado toast ($26). I think this would be expensive in Paris and New York. Let alone in Dakar. Therefore, the brioche bread (super fluffy and super processed and had no nutritional value. You can buy in Auchan for less than a dollar). I am assuming that you buy your products from Royaltine. I'm just very tired of overpaying for bad quality food in Dakar. I believe in food that is simple and natural and above all food that has good nutrition for the body of people who eat that food. But thank you for taking time to reply to me. You should always have healthy and high quality options in your place because it's very expensive place. Yes maybe other people prefer to eat processed food, but there has to be option for people who care what they eat for that amount of money you...
Read moreA pleasant cafe specialising in many kind of coffee beans at the same time there's something for everyone. Tea and coffee selections hot or cold stretch from matcha to Vietnamese coffee. Likewise with food, there's pizza, burgers, steak, Vietnamese noodles , pretty much a bit of everything. Has aircon which is a must for me as my baby can't cope with the heat. Simple but tasteful déco, staff are really nice and helpful also. The downside is that like all cafés or restaurants here, there's always something not on the menu because they have got it in, this time no bubble teas or bubble coffees which were on the menu. Flavour wise for food there, well so far I've had a burger and wok beef, they were just okay. The burger bun (I think beetroot bun as it was red) was a bit dry, and the wok beef was a bit chewy, but it was tasty enough. For those with babies, hardly any places will have changing room facility due to space, but this café could actually fit a wall mounted fold away baby changing table quite easily in the ladies'. Which would be a real bonus. The additional thing here is that they have Delonghi coffee machines, kettles, toasters and bean grinder for sale as well as their selections of...
Read moreIâm regretting that I havenât been to this place sooner, the staff were totally professional, and so friendly â the food came out extremely fast and options for coffee were unbelievable, as well as the great refreshing flavors for the Smoothys and fresh juices. The day I went, was an extremely dusty and windy day, and they manage to have the perfect antioxidant drink filled with vitamin C, citruses, and curcuma!
