Gilda Restaurant — Restaurant in City of Belgrade

The restaurant and interior is beautiful and elegant, but I had expected much more. Firstly the service was not very attentive - for instance water bottles are not placed on your table, so you need to wait until the waiter sees to refill the glasses or need to remind him, which was the case most of the time. Usually you are given a wine menu or at least asked if you'd like to see it. None was the case. Secondly the dishes were nothing special. The Vitello Tonato was plated very nicely but it was very dry and the taste very bland. My main dish was the octopus which was more on the mushy side and nothing special. 2022(3 stars): Diminished quality and huge disappointment - this used to be one of our favorite places. Oversalted octopus, overcooked tuna(got it right the second time around) but blunt with a tasteless green pea mush on the side and jar-type mango chutney. Waiter was attentive and pleasant but could not make up for the food and the overcrowded smoke-full atmosphere. Btw...nobody checks your COVID certificate after 20h which is unacceptable with so many people inside.

This restaurant has potential to be better than it already is… It’s elegant and cozy, with warm lighting… We sat there for dinner while they played radio music and that just ruined the atmosphere a bit… The music was just off and too random and not fitting the ambience at all for such a beautiful restaurant.

The food was good… I especially loved the Beef Tatar.
