Please do not go to the Klub Knjizevika. The food is desperately bad (and very overpriced), the service slow and unresponsive, the live music lacking any cultural relevance to Belgrade/Serbia, and the entire place so noisy that you and your guests will struggle to have any kind of reasonable conversation. This is written from the perspective of having visited and eaten at the Klub for several decades, and with a clear memory of when it was good. It is now a parody of itself, despite a great location and potentially lovely ambience - although when we there, the garden room was like a furnace, with no attempt made to ventilate the space. The dishes we ordered were all exceptionally dry and lacking flavour, with the entrees unimaginative and likely to be significantly bettered by any Belgrade café serving local cuisine. Pork neck and duck breast are naturally flavoursome and juicy – but not at the Klub Knjizevika; we mentioned all this to the waiter, who seemed indifferent to our concerns, and certainly unprepared to escalate the situation to the maître d’ or chef. Drinks were similarly tragic; poor imported beers in bottles so tiny they could have been from airline catering, rakija lacking fruitiness and depth, and even mineral water far from adequately chilled. To top all this, the service was almost comically bad; silly and pretentious opinions were offered about aspects of the food and drinks menu - but alongside this was a basic inability to take our order and serve the food properly, or to clear the table when appropriate. I came for dinner with my friends and my boyfriend, who is a Michelin star chef in Miami, and I have been in the industry for the past 8 years, and I currently work at the same Michelin restaurant. We ordered servers recommendations for the appetizers, and some main courses by our choice. Every dish was just okay, not worth the price. My boyfriend kept adding seasoning because it was missing flavor. The final touch was the chicken which my boyfriend ordered for his main. It was a complete disaster. Fully dry, he couldnt eat it. He asked the server to send back the dish and if he can get something else instead. The server was a little confused and I would say surprised that he is complaining and kept reapeating he doesn’t understand what is wrong with his dish. My boyfriend asked if he can get Mangulica instead, which my friend had, and he tasted it and was okay with it. Server said Mangulica is even dryer dish than the chicken, but he said thats what he wants, we dont need other explanation, as a server you should give the guest what he wants. The worst hospitality move ever, the bill came and they charged us for both dishes, chicken and mangulica. They wouldn’t do this to you even if you dine in local kafana, average restaurants on the lake Ada Ciganlija, but they treat you like this in a popular fine dining of Serbia. Nisam tražila njihov odgovor a ipak odgovaraju i LAŽU jer jedino to znaju 💯.
Subota 11/05/2024. ručak, šampanjac Veuve Clicquott Grande Dame , @ 37 000 din za 0.75 i on tvrdi da izmišljam. LOL.Šampanjac u moju čast služen u čašama za belo vino ! Vrlo NE francuski.
Zatim tvrdi da ne koriste mus od jabuke a bio je u posluženom tanjiru pacetine. Onda mene uči šta je pašteta koju služi dok blage veze nema sa francuskim kulinarstvom. Služiti isečene parčiće trećine i to zove porcijom je prevara dok nazivati to francuskim je tragikomedija.
Konobari na pola ručka pokušali da nas presele sa našeg stola jer im je trebao prostor za neku pevaljku, Ana Stanić ispostavilo se pogledom preko mog ramena. Čvrsto odbila i sa zadovoljstvom ostali gde smo već bili, on iz LA a ja iz Pariza.
Koristi engleski jezik da zvuči svetski iako je neko drugi kucao odgovor za njega.
Fotografije mene brzo uklonjene sa njihove Instagram lokacije #restoranklubknjiževnika jer izgledam bolje od lokalnih gostiju pa da ne obeshrabrim ostale koji nema šta da kažu. A i trošimo više kada za 10+ dana nisu imali nikoga da naruči € 300 bocu šampanjca.
Ovde se možete lično uveriti u besmislenost ali samo za one koji razumeju shvatiće. ELLE Srbija za koji sam pisala na veliko ali samo onda dok je bio holandski izdavač.

Nekada ekskluzivni klub, danas restoran koji čak nema ni obavezni 'dress code' jer vlasnik (Zastupnik Tara L Kisić ) ne odobrava. Veći broj gostiju je obučen za kućno izdanje u T-majcicama.
Bašta je najbolji deo ovog mesta. Nažalost i tu je nedostatak ukusa jer sve stolice moraju biti baštenske a tek ih je nekoliko, udobne i elegantne dok ostale stolice su iz ponude unutrašnjeg dekora.
Suviše buke oko sefa kuhinje Branka Kasića koji je osrednjih lokalnih veština. Zapravo hoštaplerska improvizacija. Cena je maksimalno uvećana za jeftin kvalitet proizvoda i minijaturne porcije. Pohlepa za lakom zaradom je sveprisutna u vodećim beogradskim lokalima. Ovakav odnos prema gostu je provincijski ali Beograd i nije svetska metropola.
Hrana nema mnogo ukusa, često izmišljene mešavine jeftinih sastojaka. Mus od jabuke iz Lidl -a kao i džem od višnje kao kvazi gastronomski dekor. Pašteta predjelo je porcija koja je 1/3 parčeta. Bukvalno dobijate vidljivo isečeno parče, par zalogaja i to Vas košta 1700 din / € 15 ! Nevidjena drskost. U toj pašteti ubace dodatak ili dva zbog uštede - jer pašteta je skup proizvod, pa uopšte ne osetite ukus paštete u tih par zalogaja navodnog predjela.
Risto sa sparglama u restoranu Francuske ? Možda jer su susedi severnoj Italiji.
Mešanje raznih ukusa u svim ponudama. Slatkiši, dessert vrlo oskudna ponuda i dalje jeftini sastojci u kojima sećer je glavni ukus a ne limun ili čokolada. Kafa je neodredjenog porekla i izrazito slabog kvaliteta. Puter bez ukusa i mirisa, izuzetno mekan i verovatno isto Lidl verzija od 60% m.m umesto 82% m.m. što je puter. Nazivi ponude su humor - mousse cake !? što ne postoji, cake I mousse su 2 različite vrste, svaka za sebe.
Klub književnika by Branko nastoji da imitira francusku Nouvelle cuisine a da za to nema kulinarskog i gastronomskog obrazovanja niti želi da utroši na vrhunske sastojke. Jedino što je zajedničko sa Francuskom je adresa Francuska 7.
Usluga je solidna ali ipak amaterska. Šampanjac od € 300+ je uslužen u čašama za belo vino koje su već bile postavljene na stolu umesto da su bile zamenjene.
Preporuka za ovaj restoran u Michelin vodiču kojim se Branko hvali nije i Michelin zvezdica. Mnogo je restorana u Beogradu sa preporukama u Michelin vodiču ali ni jedan sa zvezdicom, jednom barem od mogućih 3.
Beograd NEMA ekskluzivne restorane, nema ekskluzivne goste ali ima elegantne enterijere koji odaju utisak sveukupnog kvaliteta koji ipak ne postoji.
