Drama ćevapi — Restaurant in City of Belgrade

After having seen a lot of these positive reviews we were looking forward to try them out. Hear this review out if you think these are going to be the best Cevapi. If you only look for a quick fix of food then these Cevapi may suffice. The service was really bad; the waitress was idly waiting behind the desk while several tables were dirty. I think this was the first instance we felt it wasnt as portrayed in the reviews. She was unfriendly, responded with short words and was unpleasant to a few customers. They even ran out of Ajvar and spicy chillis which are staples to have with Cevapi. The Cevapi themselves had too little salt and were really tasteless. As was the case with the bread, too little salt. We even suspected they ran out of salt. And they could have even served us the salt and pepper (and dried spicy paprika) afterwards to sprinkle on but somehow no one of the two working seemed to notice it was missing on several tables. There are several cheap places serving better Cevapi with a better service. U know, at the end we really just went for a quick dinner and didnt even imagine that fast food could be...

The food is delicious. It's a pity we stayed in Belgrade just for the night, but I'll definitely go back to this beautiful city and eat here again.

I must also mention that my spouse and I had the most wonderful experience at this place. We came to Belgrade absolutely famished after a long car ride quite late in the night. We also didn't have any local currency with us while our useless host was making us wait for the keys. My spouse just took a chance and asked this place if they take euros. The kindhearted owner of the place not only took the euros from us but also waited until we finished the food past their regular closing time. They don't usually take euros but made an exception for us because I guess he saw that we were waiting on the street with our luggage. We were immensely grateful for the generosity of this stranger and wish him well. I will fondly remember Belgrade for this kind...

Very bad service. After we arrived and sat outside the waiter went out three times to another table and completely ignored us. It seems to be out of fear of foreign people. The service was very bad and not friendly at all. In the end it was not possible to pay the bill by credit card, and I had to go out to look for a place to change money at night when almost all the money exchange offices were closed.
