"An Unforgettable Dining Experience"
My friend and I had the pleasure of dining at Lorenzo & Kakalamba twice, and both visits were truly exceptional! My friend couldn’t resist the lasagne—she ordered it both times, and it was simply divine. Rich, flavourful, and perfectly cooked.
The restaurant’s decor is an absolute feast for the eyes! From the Predator’s iconic head from the films to the Terminator robot—it’s like stepping into a cinematic wonderland. There’s even a life-size Jessica Rabbit, and I’m convinced that some of the waiters have made love with her when no one was looking. That detail added a quirky, humorous touch to the experience.
The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with an eclectic mix of film memorabilia that sparks conversations at every turn. Whether you're a movie buff or not, you'll be swept up in the whimsical charm of the place. It's perfect for anyone looking for a dining experience with a little extra flair.
On our first visit, we were excited to try the famed chocolate sphere, but unfortunately, it wasn’t available. Determined, we returned a second time, ready to indulge, but a work emergency forced us to leave before dessert. The anticipation alone guarantees a third visit, because we must try that chocolate sphere!
The service was impeccable. We sat in the non-smoking section, and our favourite waiter rolled in with the largest pepper grinder I’ve ever seen! How could I resist? Saying "yes" to more pepper became a must—just another fun, unique touch that made the meal memorable.
I can't speak highly enough of this place. We left huge tips both times and even asked them to increase our bill by quite a bit—just to show how much we appreciated their service. Lorenzo & Kakalamba isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience you'll want to return to again and again. Highly...

I want to preface this by saying that I don't hold any fault against the waiter, but the management.
We began with Gnocchi & Vitamin Salad. The bread was delicious and perfectly salted. The choice of wine by the glass was great, and the waiter recommended us a delicious Merlot.
When the food was delivered, we really enjoyed the mixture of flavours.
Around 15 mins into being seated, two women arrived. Around 5 minutes later, one had gone downstairs and reappeared wearing a new outfit. Okay, it's her jam.
Just a few short minutes later, she was posing at a table to the side of us pretend eating pasta whilst birthday candles were lit. We were framed in a number of these pictures, which created an unpleasant experience for myself and my wife.
This wouldn't have been much of an issue, until it became a TWENTY MINUTE AFFAIR ACROSS MULTIPLE TABLES.
WHO THE HECK DOES THIS?
We'd declined to order our main course as at the price paid for the food, you'd like to expect a good atmosphere. It kind of ruined the meal for the both of us.
I explained to our waiter that in our six weeks of travel, I'd not failed to tip at any restaurant we'd visited. However, I could not in good conscience leave a tip here.
He explained that as his manager was not currently on site, he was unable to do anything about the two rather ignorant visitors impacting another's experience. Therefore, I hold the management responsible as they've clearly failed to empower their staff to be able to act on behalf of the restaurant.
We've have been spending an additional ~4k Dinar today, along with another visit before we left Belgrade. 2 stars as the food was good....
Read moreDear Lorenzo & Kakalamba Management,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share feedback regarding my today visit to your restaurant.
As a returning guest who has always enjoyed your exceptional food and unique atmosphere, I was surprised and disappointed by the service during this visit. My wife and I came for lunch and were pleased to see the restaurant relatively quiet, with only a few other tables occupied. However, despite the light crowd, it took over 45 minutes for our meals—a beef salad and tagliatelle with beef—to be served.
Additionally, one of the small but memorable touches I’ve always appreciated at your restaurant has been the complimentary (or paid) bread and cheese spread served before the main courses. On this occasion, we noticed that other tables received it, but we did not. When I inquired, our waiter explained that bread is not served with salad or pasta. While I understand this policy, it seemed to miss the point of my question, as our concern was more about consistency in service and overall experience rather than the food pairing itself.
To be clear, the food was, as always, delicious and lived up to your high standards. My intention in writing is not to complain about the meal itself, but rather to bring attention to the inconsistency in service, especially for loyal patrons who hold your restaurant in high regard.
I hope you take this feedback in the spirit in which it is intended—as a sincere effort to encourage the continued excellence of a place we truly enjoy visiting. Thank you for your time and...
