600 Rsd SERVICE CHARGE FOR 2 TWO PEOPLE. So, apparently this restaurant is spamming i think especially English speaking people customers in broad daylight. We were two people ate average food and then before closing which they do at 10 pm not 12 am asked us to pay which is fine, it is winters they want to close. The waiter said 4000 rsd without bringing the bill which is absolutely ridiculous it is fine dining restaurant to say the amount without bringing the bill is against law, which they did because they want to say pdv tax and not print the bill which might be fine for a small business or a restaurant but not a place which charges 1300 rsd for a meal. The most bizarre thing is yet to come, the waiter ofcourse didn’t expect i would ask for a bill because i knew it can’t be 4000 rsd, so the waiter when asked for the bill very cunning he added 600 rsd almost 20% (200*3) (which is clearly mention ) on the bill for 2 people in order to make the bill 4000 rsd so that we dont question him. I mean this so unprofessional and basically cheating the client. I believe in tips but this is clearly not the way to extract money. He clearly thought he would get away with this, oh because they are gullible foreigners and they can take advantage of them. Also, i firmly believe the owner of Hanan is behind this dubious scheme because i visited once before the service charge amount is not fixed, they charge it in order to make the bill round off , so the client doesn’t ask for any change but last time the waitress for nice and the food was good so i didn’t wanted to a jerk but this time it’s as bad as it gets. I hope tax and finance department of Serbia should look into this that so they give fiscal bill to the...
Read moreIn general, it's a good restaurant: has concept and sticks to it. And the service is quite promicing, especially with comparecement to other Belgrade restaurants.
Yet, I have a couple of questions. First of all, at 1PM almost all the table were marked as reserved though the restaurant was empty as desert. And it appeared quite tough to find a table for 1 person. Unreal situation, moreover while I was in, none came for that reservations.
The second poins is about attention waightor out in their clients. No doubt the staff is polite, patient and can offer varients that meet clients wishes. But regarding everything else.. Well, I ordered a dish and asked to put away bread and yogurt. They didn't. I ordered an Aqua Vita water. They brought Rosa. Without any requesting my approve of change and without any other comments on general.
Finally, from the very beginning, when I came, I checked if the restaurant has time limit for breakfasts. There were none in the menu. And when I said in the doors that I need a breakfast, waitor nodded and let me in. But once I tried to order eggs, he told me they don't have breakfasts at all. What...
Read moreThe first thing about the food that catches your attention is that it's not as salty as that almost everywhere else in Belgrade. That, and the mediocre cocktails and the tea (served in a teapot) are the only reasons for not giving it 1 star. Been here twice only to get disappointed both times. The meat used in the Kebabs are of very poor quality and mostly chewy fat. The flat bread loaves are stale but they heat them up before serving to conceal it. If you order starters, they bring the starters together with the main course! The whole point of starters is that you have them to start the meal. If they bring the starters together with the main course, by the time you've gone through the starter, the main course has gone cold! Do they do this to save waiters' trips to the table!? Also, they close at 10pm. Also, if you're allergic to aubergines, make sure to emphasise to them before ordering because almost everything in the menu has...
